I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr Vara for my cancer. His compassion for his patients is incredible and his knowledge is unsurpassed! I recently went to make my follow up appointment only to discover he is no longer there. I’m saddened that I couldn’t tell him just how much I appreciate all he did for me. If he is your oncologist he will go above and beyond for you. Grateful forever! Carla

Dr. Vara is extremely smart, knowledgeable, companionate and friendly with a lovely sense of humor. He treated my husband for about one year, guiding us through a surgery and treatment only to leave our local cancer center. Since his absence, the level of care my husband receives has gone drastically down hill. I'm not sure where Dr. Vara relocated to, but if he's in your area, you're reading this and you are looking for a great oncologist, I highly recommend him.

Dr. Vara has been treating me for just over a year. I feel as if I could not have found a better oncologist, either technically (as he seems up to date on every issue that comes up) or on a personal level (he is warm, and with a sense of humor).
