Dr. Steven Proshan, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Proshan for about 15 years and cannot speak highly enough about his professionalism, kind bedside manner and level of care! Colorectal issues can be scary and Dr. Proshan makes you feel at ease while providing excellent medical care. I highly recommend him to anyone facing issues requiring a colorectal surgeon.

The office staff here is the worst I've ever experienced. They are rude and nasty. They coded my procedure incorrectly, causing the hospital to charge me close to $1000 when the correct code would have been fully covered by insurance. They refused, in their usual rude manner, to correct it. There are numerous alternatives to this practice in the area. I would chose one of them.

Dr. Proshan is a wonderful surgeon who helped us through a very stressful time. When my wife was suddenly diagnosed with rectal cancer, we knew he was the doctor to turn to in Annapolis. He was so accommodating and fit us in quickly for a consultation to review options. His personality is great and he was very good at communicating details of surgery and answering all of our questions. He is caring and sympathetic but does not sugarcoat the diagnosis, it is all taken very seriously. The surgery went smooth, he communicated with us and was accessible through the whole process. The healing went exactly as he described. As a physician in the area, I am so happy Dr. Proshan is here and would recommend him to anyone with colorectal disease. We can't praise him enough!

I absolutely love Dr. Proshan . I owe him and the rest of my medical team for saving my life. He has a wonderful bedside manner and knows how to explain procedures to patients. My surgery went very well while I did have pain it wasnt as bad as I expected.

This is a VERY competent and caring doctor. Even called me after a tough visit to let me know about possibilities with my surgery! Goes the extra mile.

My experience with Dr. Proshan was the best I have ever had with a doctor. I came into the emergency room with stomach pain early February. Dr. Proshan diagnosed my problem quickly and did surgery and I was on my way to recovery. He is a very caring doctor and I appreciate all he has done to make me feel better. This was my first, and hopes last experience in coming to the emergency room with an illness and is very glad that Dr. Proshan was there to take care of me. I would recommend Dr. Proshan to all my friends and family. I am thinking of changing to Dr. Proshan as my doctor. Thanks Dr. Proshan for all your help and for caring.

I was totally pleased with Dr. Proshan, I had been miserable for years with pain from a fissure. I am only on day 4 post op and I feel great!! I never even took a pain pill, just advil. I love this man for being compassionate, listening to me and my concerns and answering my questions, but mostly for giving me my life back!!!! I also drove 1 1/2 hours to see him and to have my surgery. Well worth it!!I would refer him to any of my friends and family!!!

Dr. Proshan is undoubtable one of the best, if not the best Colon & Rectal surgeon in the region.
