Dr. Sudhir Aggarwal, MD

Seeing Dr. Aggarwal was an awful experience. He is very cold and lacks empathy. He does not listen or take a patient's perspective into account. He believes he knows everything and sees patient questions or issues that arise during the course of treatment as a threat to his ego. He also lacks integrity; he tells patients one thing then does another and does not stand by his word. After working with him for months, there was a setback. He inflicted severe pain during a routine exam. Instead of addressing it and helping me, at first he ignored the problem and me. I left messages for days, begging for help; no one called back. Eventually, he provided infusion treatments after many days of agonizing pain. Then, despite telling me he would continue to treat me he dismissed me as a patient. I received a discharge letter months later telling me to seek care elsewhere; the letter arrived just 3 days before my next appointment. Avoid this doctor at all costs. Go to another provider, one who… is honest and cares about patients.

I was pleased with the office at first because I did the minimum I could to deal with the receptionist Stephanie. Make my appointments, get my blood pressure (even with a wrist cuff because she worked for a cardiologist for a lot of years and BP is best taken via the wrist) and keep communication to a minimum. She won’t put messages through to the doctor. So I need her to work with me to get my infusion set up and first it was the insurance company then it was the pharmacy. Finally, I get the pharmacy to get everything straight and they are going to ship. Call Stephanie to tell her the good news and she starts in on me that she “ couldn’t do her part because I was on the phone with the pharmacy”. Then I asked when she could set me up for the infusion she states ( in her in the boss nasty voice ) says “like I said I’m waiting for the nurse to get back to me”. I told her to cancel things I would look for a new doctor. I contacted her through their webpage form to refuse the medication.… She emailed ( every other time she called me ) me at 5:44 pm that she can’t return anything because it’s mine and that I am more than welcomed to pick it up myself. She is always rude and always has an excuse. I had to do right by me because I felt alone in this process and she made it worse. She should never say to the patient you’re a problem for calling the pharmacy on your own she should ensure the patient that she is doing everything in her power to help me. So please think twice going to this neurologist. Dr A has not re-evaluated Stephanie she is still there talking to patients with hostility.

Dr. Aggarwal treated my wife in the ER at Paoli Hospital. While the PA and attending were amazing, Dr. A's bedside manner lacked empathy or common courtesy and respect. He often corrected my wife for not describing her condition in proper medical terms and then proceeded to tell her to stop talking as she had just begun to describe her symptoms. He may or may not know his stuff clinically but severely lacks people skills. Although we were less than thrilled with his bedside manner my wife opted to make a follow up with him as instructed for a week following the appointment. When calling to make the appointment, the office manager, Stephanie asked if we would like a tele visit of in-office visit. We were not sure and asked if she would check with the doctor. She responded with verbal hostility when we asked to have the doctor call us back so we could speak to him to get clarity she refused. Scary to think someone as nasty as Stephanie feels she can treat people poorly and get… away with it because she is the "Office Manager" Hopefully Dr. A will see this review and re-evaluate his staff and take a step back and try to treat people with a little more courtesy and respect.

Dr. Aggarwal has changed my life. After seeing several other Dr for severe pain, after 1 visit I am pain free. In addition he spends as much time with you as you need and really cares. Highly recommend Dr. Aggarwal!
