Dr. Suma S. Magge, MD

I am very unhappy with this office. I initially met with Dr. Hale who treated me and recommended testing at Norwalk Hospital. The office scheduled me accordingly. I arrived for one test and was told I was going to have another test I had not fasted for. The nurse was very rude to me about my lack of preparation and I told her the Dr.’s office had not sent any instructions. She abruptly told me it was my responsibility to ask the office for instructions. When she said something to me that I did not clearly hear she came over a yelled in my ear like I was deaf. I was then switched over to Dr. McGee for the test and future appointments with no explanation. Dr. McGee prescribed medication. I called her to give an update as requested after several weeks and she did not return my call. After a second call she called me back. Almost 2 weeks ago I called and left her a message again, as she requested, and when I called back 2 days later I was told she was out of the office and would call… me back the next week. That was last week and still no call.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Magge. She came to see be before the procedure, listened to my concerns and address a future procedure I may need to have. She put me at ease immediately. She was professional yet personable. I would highly recommend her. And beyond that the entire hospital staff impressed me from the police guard at the front door thru all the check point personal, to every nurse I came in contact with. The hospital was so clean with state of the art equipment. I couldn’t have been more pleased.Thank you Norwalk Hospital and especially Dr. Suma Magge.

Dr. Magge is an excellent diagnostician, a compassionate doctor and thoughtful prescriber. She works with the patient to get the best course of treatment and she knows her options to control the disease. Her optimism is a plus as well and helps in the face of chronic illness. Patrick Ross

Can't say enough. Dr. Magge is a great gastro doctor and I've had quite a few. Office staff is professional and wait time is quick.

Dr. Magge is an incredible skilled, very intelligent physician with a great bed side manner. She put me at ease immediately and explained the procedure thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Magge.

Dr Magge is very bright and caring. She was there for me when I had a concern after the procedure. I think she is a bit busy and therefore do not always hear back from her re test results. I do think she is an excellent doctor however. Her office staff needs some work.

Dr. Magge spent a great deal of time talking with my daughter about her diagnosis and treatment plan, which made my daughter and myself feel very comfortable. She is courteous and intelligent and we highly recommend her as a gastroenterologist.
