When MGH dropped the ball I called Newton Wellesley for my weight loss surgery, Dr. Joe McCarthy had done my hips there, it's a great hospital. Instead of 3 separate evaluation appts at MGH, NWH schedules all 3 the same day, and it was fast- 4 days to the appt. I liked Dr. Wishnia right away, I wasn't rushed. She's confident and personable. I was worried about Tufts paying, but outside of my deductible everything was covered except I think $500 for the support groups and the cell phone app. And as totally amazing as Dr. Wishnia is the surgical nurse Sally is right there too, the word is "compassion." Both Dr. Wishnia and Sally get it right, a TRUE and GENUINE interest in my success. Today I'm down over 60 lbs and still dropping, it's been 5 months. It's like going back in time. It's hard to describe how wonderful that practice is. I used to choose the Boston hospitals first, that's changed. This practice is first rate, I swear this is true. Call them right now! :)

Accurate diagnosis the first time. Very personable and friendly. Takes the time to explain the condition and to make sure you understand the consequences.
