Dr. Swapna Nishikant Deshpande, MD

I started taking my son to Dr D back in 2008. At first I was super unsure of her and really didn't want to deal with her. Her first impression is she may be a bit uptight but I assure you she is not. She is actually very down to earth and a truly caring and amazing person. My son has profound autism and is non verbal. She has come up with some really awesome out side of the box thinking over years to help him thrive. She is someone you want on your team. She knows what she is doing and she will go the distance for you and your family

Dr. Deshpande has always been amazing with my daughter. We started seeing her when my daughter was 3. She had been diagnosed by another Dr as severe adhd but they weren't familiar with what meds to give a child that age. She needed meds bc she was a danger to herself. Dr Deshpande was very caring and understanding when I explained I didn’t want a zombie child and never once pushed for more medication than was necessary! My daughter is 13 now and we still see her!! Can’t recommend her enough!!

My son has been seeing her for 3 years. She has taken him from 9 medications to 4. She is serious with him when she needs to be but is also funny. Treats my son as her favorite. He is so comfortable with her, can tell her anything. Thank you Dr. Deshpande, so glad I found you.

Iwould not recommend this doctor, most certainly not to my friends. At the first appointment she seemed like she truly cared about my son. She also seemed respectful of our choice to work on his issues with autistic meltdowns without drugs. But that all changed. She reared her ugly true self within the following two appointment. She ultimately decided not to work with my son unless I drugged him with Prozac. No thank you! She is NOT to be trusted which is very sad.
