Dr. Tahira Habib, MD

Back in 2007 I went to her when my diabetes was elevated. I was recommended and was that a mistake. She immediately prescribed metformin 2000mg. For 4 days I threw up even at work. they became so concerned and tried to intervene with the doctor but she never returned calls. Finally we went to the Agency's Inspector General and she finally answered my call. She has horrible bed side manner...won't even look up at her patients. No matter how long it's been I've never forgotten that experience with her.

I have been looking for a good endocrinologist for a while (4 years) I was referred by a friend and I was horribly surprised. Dr Habib is a thorough dr, but is inconsistent with getting her patients in when need to be seen. Her front desk manager (Melissa) is visually overwhelmed due to her assistant, who seems unknowledgable to the medical field and rude. She may be the drs daughter because I dont know why she is still employed. Overall Dr Habib is a good doctor but with the nature of diabetes and other diseases of the endocrine system, it takes WAY too long to get a follow up appointments. Also I called to confirm my appointment 24 hours before I was to come in and was told i need to reschedule because they didnt have my labwork (the cardiologist that Dr Habib referred me to, had my labs, so I didnt understand why they didnt) then i was TOLD to call the labs to have a copy faxed to them....which is not normal protocol for a drs office. Its really ashame that patients are being… neglected by the staff/doctor. I wish the dr the best, but i wont be going to her office again!

Dr. Habib is one of the most thorough physicians I've seen. She is kind, compassionate, and treats the whole patient- not just the symptoms. She thinks on a broader scale than most doctors and looks beyond just her specialties. She has saved me from a debilitating disease and improved the quality of my life.

Absolutely THE worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of using. No compassion, no emotion, no empathy, and never a good thing to say. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this rotten egg.
