Dr. Tamberly Lou Mccoy, MD

This doctor saw me in the hospital,even though she is not my doctor. Presumably, she was the on-call physician. The first question she asked was, “Are you still having problems with diarrhea?” I explained that mine was the opposite problem as I had not had a bowel movement in two days. She looks at me with a quizzical expression and repeated the question. I told her that was not me. She asked if I “wanted something.” I explained that I have a history of C-diff, and that I’ve been hospitalized six times in the last eight months. I declined the suppository. She then asks what’s my main complaint, and why I came in through the ER the day before. I explained why and gave her a synopsis of my medical history. She finally logged on to the computer to look at my test results. All she focused on was one issue, even though several others were involved. I understand this is someone who is “on-call’ for other physicians, but there’s no excuse for being unprepared and ill-informed.

This Doctor is very hard to get an appointment with. Any labs done in her office she nor her staff go over the results with you. After calling and making inquires about tests or illness the staff transfer you to three different people and then you must explain each time your reason for calling. Waiting for lab test that can diagnose your symptoms is important to treatment or a cure or getting other tests to find out the reason one is ill and can not function due to pain or discomfort. This doctor will say she will contact you to talk to you about other things to look at but she never follows up with her patients. This is not good quality care! Especially if you have seen this doctor for 10 years.

Dr.McCoy is a VERY intelligent doc Always gets right to the point and is eager to help better understand you. I Feel very blessed to have her on my side b/c she's polite and compassionate, the two best things you want from your doctor!! Never thought I would find a woman smarter than me!! hahaha

I was a patient of Dr McCoy for years for chronic pain, seizures, and spinal problems. She was the only doctor that I got pain meds from. I don't doctor shop etc like some people do. I received a certified letter tell me find another doctor with no explanation. I have been on two very strong pain meds and now going through terrible withdrawal symptoms and can't get into another doctor until the second week of December. Her nurse Diane is very hateful and should not be in the position she is in dealing with people much less sick patients. .

Very amazing doctor. She truly cares for her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. McCoy's since about 2001, I have nothing but the highest regards for her. She has been an awesome Doctor and has helped me through some serious health problems , And several times being hospitalized. I really believe that if it wasn't for her, I would not be here today. And as far as how she treats people, she has an excellent doctor to patient personality and has also talked to me like I was a friend or family with honesty and respect. If anyone that has said otherwise, should check themselves.

Dr mcCoy missed that I had ms for many years despite many symptoms associated with it. She dumped me as a patient with a certified letter. Her front office staff are often unpleasant.

very rude uncaring person.sent in a student first to talk to me then came in and talked at me rather than to me. i left her office in tears,have never done that with a doctors visit before.
