Dr. Tammas Frederick Kelly, MD

I came here to receive help and he gave me 5 min of his time then practically shoved me out of his door with a prescription. He never called or cared to see how things were after that. Very unprofessional and unkind. Staff and all!

Been seeing Dr. Kelly for some time. I'm still seeing him because I haven't found many other options who take my insurance. He only seems concerned about getting you out of his office as quickly as possible. He has no "bedside" manner, does not seem to genuinely care about what's going on with the patient, and over-prescribes medications. His attempts to show humor are no more than ridiculous, he won't look at your responses on your mandatory questionnaire, and just does not seem to care at all. He diagnosed me as bipolar after about ten minutes (that's his specialty) and I still do not feel comfortable with that diagnosis. Any suggestions for alternative psychiatrist would be appreciated. I went to see Dr. Kelly last month after a friend was ranting and raving about him. She too has been put on tons of medications and is a zombie most of the time. Dr. Tammas put me on a nearly lethal cocktail of drugs that sent me to the hospital. I was then sent to a psychiatric center for two weeks of inpatient care, after three days of detoxing from the drugs in the hospital. This was the worst experience in my life. Contacted Mr. Kelly after this ordeal to explain what happened, and he said it was normal for his patients to experience issues like this. I am meeting with a lawyer, in hopes of filing a major lawsuit against Tammas, his staff, and his practice

This doctor should be shut down. He over medicated multiple patients, that are like zombies and can no longer hold a job. Dr. Kelly is the drug addicts best friend.

Horrible!! POMPOUS. Disinterested, barely looking at me; just his computer the whole time. "Diagnosed" bipolar within 30min. Didn't suggest bloodwork, therapy, etc. Just here, start these two meds and go away. Proof that he wasn't listening (or is just a liar) is after my "treatment" there I requested my medical records. His notes had MULTIPLE false statements regarding topics that were never even discussed! If I hadn't read SOME accurate stuff, I would have thought they put the wrong patient's name on his note. He also wrote I was overweight (5'10" 140#), and wrote he thought I wouldn't comply with his recommendations. Hmm, maybe because I have a brain. Icing on the cake was that office staff was rude, and the three times I went I waited 30-45min with no apologies for the delay. Luckily I was able to find a wonderful practitioner that knows what she's doing, is respectful, and got me on the right track!

I would never recommend a Doctor like him. He is so called "pill mill" drug dispenser. He will prescribe any medication that causes addiction. Dr. Kelly's patients are zombies whom belong in a psych ward!

He was the only doctor, out of 12 throughout the years, who properly diagnosed me. I finally achieved stability with his treatment. I am very thankful for him and have been seeing him for 14 years. I have to travel 3 hours to get to him, but consider the travel time worth it.

At first I liked Dr. Kelly. He had impressive credentials and I had high hopes. My first inclination something was amiss was his communication style. He was so soft-spoken that I sat forward in my chair, straining to hear him and asking him to repeat himself. He said he liked to use humor as a check to see how patients were doing; he said something funny and noted the reaction. I wonder how many reactions were affected by this. His eye contact was poor; that seemed odd for a psychiatrist. On the good side, he sent me for a sleep study and I did have sleep apnea that is now treated. On the negative side, he began to change and increase my medications. I began to worsen, and it affected my family life and my career. One day he doubled my dose of thyroid replacement as a treatment for bipolar depression; he did not order TSH or other labs first. At the same visit, he started me on another new drug. In the ensuing days I developed chest pressure and extreme anxiety; I felt I… was having â??fight or flightâ?? all the time. I called him for help and his attitude seemed flippant to me. He made a joke and this time I cried, telling him I didnâ??t know how I was going to make it through even the next 15 minutes. I found another doctor and never went back. It took a long time to heal. Sometimes I think I never came all the way back. Iâ??ve since learned he should have obtained labs and gradually changed the Synthroid dose. A second drug should never have been started at the same time. Iâ??m certain he meant no harm, but the saying doesnâ??t read, â??First, MEAN no harm.â??

Had been referred to Dr. Jelly by a friend. She was wrongfully diagnosed as bipolar by Dr. Kelly. I was also wrongfully diagnosed, and put on five new medications at once. I ended up in the ICU and had to be resuscitated twice. That Tammas jerk almost let me die. I hope the clinic he works for reads this.

Man, his patients are over medicated, wrongfully diagnosed zombies. His patients have threatened other. Stay away from this dangerous doctor.
