Dr. Tasha M Farrar, M.D.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in reproductive psychiatry at a small outpatient practice. This specialty is focused on the unique issues and treatment dilemmas that occur with pregnancy and the post-partum period, as well as perimenopause. I believe it is important to provide patients with accurate and balanced information to help inform their decisions. I am available to consult on a medication and treatment plan prior to a pregnancy. My approach is collaborative; treatment is most effective when that patient, psychiatrist, therapist, and primary care provider are working together towards common goals.

I also provide care to a general adult population with particular interest in anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder. In addition to prescribing medications, I employ multiple non-medication strategies including nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene, light therapy, yoga, mindfulness, positive relationships, relaxation, and …productive, meaningful pursuits. I consult with the Mosaic Family Health Clinic's residency training program and enjoy teaching.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, bonsai, gardening, yoga, playing board games with my family, and serving the two cats who allow me to live in their home.
