If you don’t mind a long wait in a packed waiting room (caused by the perpetual triple booking), just need your meds refilled and don’t mind hearing about the Korean War or watching him eat lunch instead of discussing your psychiatric symptoms, then he’s fine. Went several time while I was on the waiting list for a normal psychiatrist. He’s a pill dispenser of last resort.

Doctor James Sholtz has, in the past decade in which he has provided unbiased psychiatric medicine maintenance and counseling care to me in my struggle with generalized and social anxiety disorders and adult ADHD, stands out as the most ethical and patient (as opposed to profit) - oriented doctor I've had the opportunity to obtain psychiatric care from out of all of the psychiatrists I've received services from since age ten. He maintains to the best of his ability the most patient-oriented private practice that the current health care system in this state permits - or at least that has been my experience. His extensive background in internal medicine, psychiatry - both inpatient and outpatient, psychology, chemistry and neurology is utilized generously as he carefully crafts a treatment roadmap for your unique, individual-specific case.

this man needs a doctor himself. he sat and berated and belittled me and had no thought of my well being. all he could do was talk about himself and how hard he has it then tells me he will fill out a paper for 300 cash instead of my insurance. that was so he could fill it out at home while he watched sports. that's exactly what he told me. he said he was not my paper boy or my Jesus Christ. lied about Medicare only paying him for 15 mins but when I called them they laughed and sad no, that not true. like I said, this dr needs a dr. he set my health back a few years.

Dr. Scholtz not only met my expectations, her far exceeded them. He was kind, courteous, understanding and I feel I have the best there is to offer. He is patient. I noticed this right away as I have a tendency to babble when nervous. I would and HAVE recommended him to my friends who find themselves in need of psychiatric counseling.
