Dr. Terry Fan, MD

Dr. Terry Fan came into the room almost immediately after I was seated. No waiting! He was very professional and thorough. Dr. Fan had already reviewed my chart notes from a previous MD who was no longer working with Hoag. I honestly appreciated that as it made for a smooth transition. We established a new patient relationship and scheduled another appointment for a much more comprehensive exam. I enjoyed his way of communication and understanding my needs.

My husband and I were patients of Dr Fan’s for the past 14 years. Dr Fan was one of the best doctors we’ve had in our lifetime. He is kind, caring, listened to our health concerns, and always had a upbeat personality and a great smile. Dr Fan will be truly missed and we are still hoping that one day he will return to Scripps Clinic. But for now, we wish him and his family all the best. Dave & Barbara Parent

Dr. Fan has been our family physician for over 10 years and we've had excellent and very thorough care. We were devastated to learn he is relocating! He is a great listener and educates his patients on the steps necessary to attain their health goals. His follow-up care is impeccable and we really appreciated his letters/notes to us with lab results, etc. We are so sad to hear he isn't with Scripps Clinic anymore but wish him continued success. From one trojan to another, Fight On!!

Dr. Fan was my husband's physician for over 13 years. He was truly a compassionate man who cared about his patients. Anyone who is lucky enough to have him as their Internist/Primary Care Physician should rest easy, as they are in good hands.

QUACK quack quack He has an adversarial approach to treating patients. He's kinda like a robot. He does not trust you, and you will not trust him IMO. As a result there is no mutual respect... you'll see. I suspect he had a difficult childhood. It's his way or the highway. AVOID this guy. You can do much much better IMO.

Dr. Fan is wonderful. He is thorough, attentive, and always makes me feel like my health is a priority. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Half-assed physical, poor attenmtion to detail

He has a real charming personality. Unfortunately, he rushed through the physical and did not probe about potential problems. I want my doctor to be a great internist, not just a nice guy.

He went through the motions. Is really charming but my annual exam was cursory and inadequate. Followup phone conversations with he and his staff were disappointing.

Dr. Terry Fan is very knowledgeable he takes the time to listen to you and gives you a full in-depth diagnosis. He always takes the time to get to know you and seems to have a smile on his face all the time. He is a very friendly and a bright young doctor. Puts you at ease, listens well and gives very good medical care. Does not make you feel he is in a hurry, would highly recommend as a family physician. Does not hesitate to refer you to another physician if he feels it is necessary. I feel a young doctor with a great future in medicine, would highly recommend as a family physician.
