Dr. Thanes Jason Vanig

They call using a cell phone which is un identifyable and then call you back to back to back to back and you NEVER EVER get to see Thaynes. After 19.5 years he pushes you off to his MA or PA because he is not interested in your JUST STANDARD CARE and further after so many years. The office staff used his rubber signature stamp to send me a cancellation of patient care and he doesnt even have the cooth to call and discuss this issue. HORRIBLE DOCTOR.

Dr. Thanes Vanig is a compassionate, caring, dedicated physician. He demonstrates true passion is his job. He restored my quality of life by helping improve my health in several ways. Being an individual who is extremely diverse I always recommend Spectrum Medical Group to members of the community. Thank you.

After almost 20 years of coming to this doctor it is sad for me to write this.  I received a text from my pharmacy that my doctor refused my blood pressure prescription renewal.  I realize it had been some time since my last visit but I didn't realize it had been as long as it had been.  In any case, I didn't deserve to be treated so poorly by the staff.  I actually called in to set up an appointment but that is where it went downhill.   When I called the doctor it took two hours to reach someone.  When they answered, I asked if they were having phone system issues again, which had been the case before.  The staff person, in a rude tone said "No, we are busy".  I then asked why I had not received a notification from the office that I needed to come in to continue to get the prescription.  She then stated in a rude tone that it was my responsibility to manage my own healthcare.   I was so upset by the comment and how it was said that I asked for a call from the doctor.  I also filled… out a form for him to contact me and even took in a letter.  I received no response after all the years as a patient.  If I had received notification that I needed to come in to continue with the medication, I would have complied.  To just deny my prescription was not professional. The comment by the staff was rude and not professional.   The doctor needs to ensure he has enough staff to ensure it does not take hours to reach someone and he needs to ensure he takes the feedback from patients seriously and not ignore the feedback.  I feel so disrespected after the number of years as a patient.  I deserved either a callback, email, text or some sort of reply to my request to talk to the doctor.  For me to write this, it was upsetting.  Customer service is a requirement in every business and the owner is responsible for their employees.  I kept thinking that the employees were not giving the doctor my messages when I didn't get a reply.  After 3 attempts I give up and am searching for a new doctor after all of these years.  I cannot tell you how disappointed I am over this.   All this would have taken is for someone to politely say we need to see you to ensure you are "OK" to continue on the blood pressure medicine.  Now to not even get a response after 3 attempts for a call back from the doctor is the most hurtful and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a doctor.   I'm sure the business is very successful and losing a few patients here and there is not an issue.  If you would have asked me just a couple of weeks ago if I thought I would ever be going to a new doctor I would have said no.

Dr.Vanig demonstrates leadership by asking key questions and knowing what's best for the patient. The team is very professional and they embrace diversity. Being a very diverse individual, I'm quite accepted at Spectrum Medical Medical Group. They have turned around my life and restored it, from what was taken away from me in Oregon.

Spectrum Medical Group consists of the most magnificent team of compassionate physicians and medical professionals. I'm a very diverse individual and all the members of the staff are very supportive from Dr.Vanig to nurse practitioner Santos. They have demonstrated excellent quality care at a economical cost. They provide options to their patients and helped contribute to the improvement of the healthcare industry. Spectrum Medical Group is a family practice. When I moved back to Phoenix I always find myself returning back to Dr.Vanig and his team. Dr.Vanig is a is an exceptional physican. Dr.Vanig and his office staff have demonstrated to me that they are on top of their game. I'm pleased to see that they are open to feedback and implement it. Dr. Vanig has always been the best and I have been going to him for almost 20 years. I would rate him at the top of any doctor I have ever seen.

I was seeing Dr. Vanig for several years and I have to say he would not know hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism if it came up to him and slapped him in the face. The guy is all right for Tcell, and viral load blood work however don't expect much more. Total disappointment. He boarders on dereliction of duty as a doctor would not recommend this doctor.

I hope i never have to change doctors.He is fantastic.He explains things to you which alot of doctors dont care to do.

My overall experience with the Spectrum Medical group has been very disappointing. The front office staff is rude; the office manager didn't resolve any of my issues; and nor has the dr called to follow-up. I don't wonder any more about the level of professionalism, it's obvious!
