Dr. Theodore B Goldstein, MD

Dr. Goldstein is wonderful. Very caring and listens. Very practical. I am not sure he told me the true likelihood of having to have another spine surgery because he knew how upsetting that would be.

Most caring, thoughtful, thorough, helpful physician I have seen in last decades.

Ted Goldstein is the best doctor I have ever seen at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. I wish all the doctors in your medical center took the time to be as good a diagnostician, empathetic and listen as this doctor, and not looking for surgeries or procedures to be able to bill. Send residents and fellows to learn from him. He is truly unreplaceable and an incredible human being. He is extraordinary

The best care!

First of all, at 85 year old, this Dr is too old to be practicing. He is not informed on the modern up to date treatments. He doesn't get to the point and his suggestions are neither current or practical. He has a cantankerous rude demeanor and even snapped at me to "relax" when I tried to get him to summarize the treatment pain after his rambling on and on. Dont waste your time with this one.

I had an ACDFP at C5-6 and several weeks later experienced new and unusual symptoms such as electric shocking. It was less than 8 weeks after my first surgery, and Dr Goldstein recommended an ACDFP at C3-4 immediately. I did not have the surgery, but rather visited four other highly regarded orthopedic surgeons. I was told by ALL of them, NOT to have another surgery. They all, separately, told me the same thing; that my spinal cord was nicked during the surgery and that was the cause of my new symptoms.

The team, Dr. Goldstein, Dr. Rhoten and Dr. Oshira, has saved my life. Six years ago I could barely walk because of severe back pain. The surgery was extremely successful. It took a while to recover but I am actively dancing again almost every night. I couldn't be more grateful. An awesome team of doctors.

Dr. Goldstein is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He treated me for a degenerative condition for about 10 years, with my final procedure being an artificial disc implant. (Another doctor recommended him, as I was not getting any relief from treatment by other practitioners.) I have been pain free ever since - 8 years and counting. Dr. G did not give up on me, and he listened. I did not find him to be condescending at all. He is confident and knowledgeable. And I trust him completely.

He is unpleasant and cavalier about surgery. He told me he no longer performed surgery, recommended another surgeon, but was then listed as a co surgeon. My advice from personal experience...STAY AWAY FROM THIS GIANT EGO, there are many fine doctors in Los Angeles, you do not need this one!
