Dr. Bottiglieri is an excellent physician, who not only looks at the complaint - but you as a whole! His staff is also wonderful at answering question and following up!

I came in to see Dr. Bottiglieri 4 months ago. I am a patient with extensive issues, that started to become worse through time. I started my evaluations at NYU Langone, a long journey of over 3 years and extensive testing. Dr. Bottiglieri has shown me service that exceeded my expectations compared to services received from NYU as a long time patient there. Dr. Bottiglier takes his time in analyzing the feelings of the patient and is extensively knowledgeable with many conditions. He was able to diagnose me with conditions that took NYU 3 years to find. He still continues to treat me for these issues. He not only take the time to understand your desires for recovery but what your fears are that you would like to have addressed and fixed. He is very genuine in the care that he gives and has such pride in his work. His primary goal is getting you to feel like yourself and getting you back to what you love. I am proud to have the care of Dr. Bottiglieri for he is always seeking new… challenges within his patients to correct. Dr. Bottiglier has helped me to gain strength back to getting me back to what i love doing that is bowling and being able to get back into the gym. I never thought that I would be able to feel as good as I do now or be able to do all I can by him motivating me.

A very good friend of mine referred Dr. Thomas Bottiglieri's name to me as a very good and conscious doctor. I went to see him for a pain in my right knee, with a diagnosis of torn meniscus and moderate arthritis. From the first visit he insisted on my heavy weight that I needed to lose. Now, I explained to him that it had been the battle of my life and not easy to do plus it was not going to happen overnight. He prescribed 3 rounds of injections to help the erosion of cartilage. My concern started when I had pain on both knees after the first round of injections. He focused on my diet plan and how and when I was going to lose weight, which again, I stated that was not going to happen overnight. I fully understand that he wants a reaction from me but he got the wrong way to make me react. By raising his voice in command in front of 2 other assistants, he got exactly the opposite, I felt humiliated and not able to defend my point, being, I know I have to lose weight, just don't rub it… in. Why am I having more pain now? The third round of injections went really bad. I was already afraid of his pointy remarks on how heavy I was as if I don't know it, and when I asked him why I was experiencing more pain now with the injections he said I don't know, doctors don't have the answer to all questions. What about trying for a better kind of care, doctor? His assistant explained the treatment in a better way than what he did and I guess that was it. His dominant personality and prepotency were shaken and he couldn't hear his assistant trying to help out. So he said something like, I will leave you two because apparently you can get along better and you understand my assistant better than me, and he left. This was the worst experience I've had with a doctor who is supposed to be compassionate and have good care for his patient. He said he had tried to explain but it was too complicated for some to understand but he had tried. What about trying harder the way your assistant did, doctor? Worst interaction with a patient ever, I think you got the wrong profession, you should be playing a tough sport instead to get your anger away the right way.

Dr. Bottiglieri and his team are simply amazing. They provide exceptional medical care, many additional resources for my use at home and away, and provide in depth descriptions in a user friendly way. Dr. Bottiglieri always choses the most minimally invasive procedures that will benefit me decades from now. I had the experience that I was being treated as a family member, rather than a patient.
