Dr. Valente is so full of himself. What's to be a 15 appointment turns into at least 30 minutes. He interjects so much that is not relevant to the appointment. Also, he's always running super behind, which only adds to the anxiety of an already troubled patient. It got to the point I'd call the office a week or more before my current appointment to make the next one for the first time of the day. It worked. So glad I haven't seen him in over 10 years.

Dr. Valente has been my psychiatrist for nearly 20 years. He is caring, understanding, and an excellent listener.

Dr. Valente treated me during a period when he was going through a divorce and took his anger towards his wife, Leigh, out on me. He tried to have me committed in a rage, and then refused to give me the script for my medication when his attempt was overturned and vacated on habeas corpus appeal three days later. As a result, I went through life-threatening withdrawals from antidepressants and neuroleptics and nearly died from the resulting seizures. He also interfered in my marriage and with my relationship with my parish priest, violating patient confidentiality. Because of him, I will never seem treatment again.
