Dr. Thomas John Yeagley, MD

Went to him with extremely heavy debilitating periods. He tried switching me to 3-4 different types of birth control pills then put me on a high dose NSAID for 3 days before and 3 days during periods. I ended up anemic with an ulcer in my colon and needed a colonoscopy and the ulcer cauterized. Have since switched to IU health and they offered me an ablation which solved everything.

I had exteme menstral pain and excessive bleeding, his reccommendation was a hysterectomy. I did not desire such a radical treatment as I am only 43! All other options were spoke of as ineffective and no suggestion or treatment reccommended for the pain or bleeding. When I couldn't work because of it, he said, "Are you ready for a hysterectomy now?" I changed doctors!

I was not happy with him at all!! His bedside manor is very poor! He constantly cut my sentences off, talked down to me, and didn't want to honor my decisions with my body. He was over 30 minutes late for my appointment and didn't even apologize for it. I will not be going back to him and I will not recommend him.

Dr. Yeagley is very caring. He never rushes through my appointments always takes the time to answer all of my questions.

Has a very poor bedside manor. Did not answer my questions. He kept interupting me. I had a biopsy done and feel more like I went to a butcher. He is very arrogant and kind of a jerk. I felt like he had no regards for me as a patient. I will not ever go back to him or recomend him to even my worst enemy. I waited 2 hours an hour and a half of it was in a cold room. I have seen wild animals with better people skills.

he was very caring and spent time finding out what my issues were.I finally did become pregnant and had a good experience with a normal vaginal delivery.I have recommended him to several of my friends and they all seem to be impressed by his skill and excellent care.

I absolutely loved Dr. Yeagley when I went to him. He helped me through a miscarriage and did all of my prenatal care and delivery with my second. However, I think his medical approach is somewhat sloppy. He was not present for much of my long labor (maybe a total of 30 minutes in 16 hours at the hospital). I required an emergency c-section (at least that is what I was told). I will never forget Yeagley asking if he needed to cut me back open because they didn't count the right number of sponges and thought they left one inside me. He had a very hard time getting me to stop bleeding during surgery-perhaps due to a long labor or perhaps due to a mistake? I almost needed a transfusion. He would not tell my mom I was alive until after he wrote all of his notes in my file while my mom stood by panicked. My incision became very swollen and started draining blood and pus two weeks post-op...his office wouldn't schedule me an appt bc it was "normal". I went in anyways. I went to… him about 6 months after the c-section because I had extreme lower back pain related to my menstrual cycle. He told me to just take 2 ibuprofen every day (and kill my kidneys?). I went to a specialist that did a laproscopy to find that I had extensive adhesions and endometriosis. It took another surgery by Da Vinci method to clean me up. My uterus was so twisted, I might not have been able to carry another baby or even get pregnant again. The pain went away following the surgery. My new doctor tells me bladders often get adhesions due to the bladder flap not being closed during the c-section...my bladder was adhered to my uterus and abdominal wall. I really liked Yeagley when he was my doctor, but I overlooked a lot and ultimately found that I can find better care elsewhere.
