Dr. Tim Ioannides, MD

In almost 80 years on this planet, I have known many doctors, both as a patient and because it was my job to know them. Tim Ioannides is one of the three best I have known--smart, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about his paitients. It is true that one often spends a little longer than ideal in his waiting room. This is because he schedules normal visits and then gives each patient all the time they need. Sometimes his appointments run longer than expected. I am now figuring out which HMO/PPO plan to sign up for in 2026. I have minimal income other than Social Security. But if the best plan for me does not cover him in its network, I will pay for my appointments out of pocket and be glad that I can. The person who complained that Dr. Ioannides is unprofessional and "doesn't care about you" is venting serious personal issues of his own. That description does not at all fit the Tim Ioannides I have known for the last 15+ years.

Please beware. Very unprofessional. He doesn’t care about you. Keep on looking for a good dermatologist. I wish I would have read all the bad reviews before I made an appointment.

I have gone to him for the past several years and I believe that he has my best interests in heart. My only issue with him is that the wait in his waiting room is typically too long.

I had an itchy skin problem. I received no relief of itching and it cost me a small fortune in tests. I went to a different Dr. in town. I'm glad I changed.

Excellent Doctor

CAUTION: Prior to allowing this individual to perform or supervise any dermatological procedure, I caution you to be extremely careful and explore OTHER options. I went in to remove a cyst on my back neck below the hair line (epidermal inclusion cyst). He had a resident perform the procedure and she did a surgical removal that resulted in a horrible incision. I have horrible scarring, and what should have been a straight-line incision ended up in an L shaped incision. In addition, his bed side manner was absolutely atrocious. He actively saw her poor methodology and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to correct her. I’ve had an absolutely traumatic experience and had to invest additional time, money and emotional distress, to do a corrective procedure. When I went back to get it reviewed by other dermatologist, they were appalled by the technique and discredited the entire procedure, given the small size of the cyst and the large size of the incision. Please, please, please, please, be… careful. Do not put your health in the hands of this incompetent medical provider.

In the 60’s, I grew up on the beach’s of Southern California where we did everything you shouldn’t do to your skin. A few years ago, while living in AZ, I decided I needed a skin cancer check, and went to a dermatologist. He was excellent, went over every inch of my body with a dermascope ( helps detect possible cancers that can’t be seen with the naked eye). Sure enough that dermatologist found two tiny suspicious moles, did a biopsy , came back negative. The exam took some time. We moved to Florida about 2 1/2 years ago, way over do for my skin cancer check and went to Treasure Coast Dermatology, Dr Loannides because I needed to get back on track with check ups. I arrived very early, but ended up waiting approximately 1 1/2 hours after my appointment time. The waiting room was packed. Didn’t wait too long in the exam room. Dr Loannides, walked in with his assistant,was nice, I explained my past dermatology biopsies, but my exam was a joke. He held each arm looked up and… down them, glanced at my back. Then had me stand up to look at my legs, he stood back looking at them, had me turn around, did the same, had me lift up the gown so he could view stomach. End of exam. Advised me to come back in a couple of years, or if I noticed any changes in anything. If he spent 10 minutes in the room I’d be exaggerating . I play golf, fish, outdoors a lot , and I expect a thorough exam, especially with a past of suspicious areas. There was NO way he could see tiny developing areas with his type of exam, and from everything I’ve been taught, it’s important to find them ASAP. I’ll also add that my husband was seen by Dr Loannides, a few. Weeks prior to my visit for moles on the back of his head. One was cut and sent off for biopsy, which came back negative, was scheduled to have the others removed, but when my husband went back for that procedure (I went with him, waiting room packed) the Dr decided not to remove them. In my humble opinion, I believe this doctor ‘s scheduling is so out of wack, that he doesn’t have time to do a thorough exam, or time to do whatever needs to be done. Only other explanation, he’s not a good dermatologist. I will NEVER go back, the sad thing, my insurance will only cover one year exams or what is recommended by doctor (which he said two years) so unless I notice a change in a spot, I can’t be seen by a better dermatologist .

Dr. Ioannides is the best, very understanding, friendly, professional. He did a great job on my bottom lip. I had pre-cancer and also use liquid nitrogen. Answered all my questions, even after hours. He is very caring and his staff is the same way. They eased my nervousness. I would recommend anyone to go to Dr. Ioannides. Thank you for every u have done for my bottom lip. Kristen Rusignuolo
