Dr. Tomas Figueroa-Nieves, MD

Spends lots of time with you. You don’t feel rushed. He reviews blood work and test results and explains them.

Longtime patient of this practice, but I travel a lot and sometimes miss recommended checkups. Emergency hospitalization out of town and needed a post hospital physical, but had only a short window in Tampa. Scheduler "Joann" was thorough, kind, ordered my hospital records and fit me into the schedule. The appointment itself with Dr. Figueroa was compassionate, detailed, and very educational. I learned so much, and continue to reflect on his helpful teaching.

Dr. F-N is intelligent, listens closely to what I say, and is excellent in summing up the appointment. He is kind, not only to me, but also to his staff. Also important: I told my husband to meet Dr. F-N, and he liked him, too, so now we have a family doctor.

Time spent with me and discussion was great.

I bounced from doctor to doctor fro several years. Problems getting one who spent more that 5 minutes with me, even recalling my conditions during last visits. I've been seeing Dr. Figueroa for over 2 years, and he is thorough, knowledgeable, and interested in my health and problems. Dr. Fig has phoned me at home, after office hours, on occasions where he thought there was information I should have. He found problems in my old records that 2 other doctors had overlooked. The office staff in mainly Hispanic but everyone is bi-lingual, and they will try to do everything they can to accommodate. This is the best primary care office I have visited in over 12 years.I am a 63 year old Type 2 diabetic.

I'm 60 years old and Dr. Figueroa is without out a doubt the best doctor I have ever had; caring, thorough, follows up quickly on every request and even calls personally to discuss any tests that come back out of range. All doctors should be like this!
