Summary
My practice is built on 20 years of experience in psychotherapy, psychological evaluation, disability services, and cross-cultural competence. I also draw extensively from nearly two decades as a college professor, educational consultant, and mentor. When we hurt physically, we are taught to seek expert medical care and adopt healthier habits. I believe we should normalize seeking expert psychological care when we hurt emotionally. We all have it within us to gain insight into what ails us mentally or disrupts our attempts at living a full and purpose-driven life. As a therapist, I support and facilitate my client’s emotional wellness and growth through empathic listening, use of proven cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques, and a wide knowledge base in psychology.
