My mother & I went to his office to find out what is causing her decline in health, but instead of help we received a lecture & doctor forever leaving the room. I understand that doctor office are overbooked and not a lot of time to do it in. What was annoying was the time we arrived 9:20am for a 9:30 am & was not called until 10:10am but was not in the room until 10:25, but every five minutes he was called away by another doctor. During the experience he talk to us as if we were simple-minded (I have bachelor's degree, and my mother's has a degree and two associated degrees--we are not geniuses but nor we stupid!). We were continously interrupted by him while explaining to him what we were here to see him about. He did not care to listen and he wanted to deal with one thing at a time, and only one thing. Fine...until he stated that the food we bought (I guess he thought we bought too much cheese or something) & we should spend that money on 3 days a week gym pass. I am not skinny but… nor am I obese either ( he is not skinny either). After that he spoke to me but direct his belittling commit to her all while he stopped listening to anything except his own voice. I guess listening to his patients is too much for him to do (I am not expecting him to hold my hand and wave his arms about and tell me he will magically cure my mother since that is unrealistic). But what I did expect him to listen, understand that there is something that is medically wrong, and try to go at the health and wellness together. What is worst that he failed to call his pills down to the pharmacy (even though he typed it in infromt of us) to pick up her pills....2 1/2 hours later we never were able to get the pills. A few days later we went to another pharmacy to pick them up again, and there was no pills again. After 10 day of going through withdrawal symptoms he wanted her to start taking them again to redo her titration again. No thank you. That was the first appt. And the second was not any better. I was giving him the benefit of the dought thinking maybe will needed to see him again because the 1st appt did not go so well. We were wrong. He continued in his "I am god of interal medicine" and I know everything unlike you context. He was not the doctor for us, but if you like to have doctor treate you as if you are simple minded, slightly over weight and stupid instead of spending your money on yogart & cheese you should spend the $30 on a gym pass, and (best of all) know nothing about anything going on with your body-- than he is the doctor for you! I do not need to put up with his belittling manner, so we are now with different doctor.
