Dr. Umesh Rao Chakunta, MD

I have seen Dr. Chakunta myself for anxiety and depression and along with my son for the same plus substance abuse issues. He is a wonderful physician and person. You don’t see many physicians like him anymore. He takes as much time as you need for your appointment and you can tell he cares!! Makes eye contact while talking, asks appropriate questions, etc. Very intelligent, knows his field very well.

I am so sad to lose Dr Chakunta, as a doctor! To date, the best psych I've had. He listens to patient feedback, is extremely respectful, takes time to address concerns, always polite and considerate - Dr Chakunta is a rare breed of doctor, these days. He will be very missed by this patient.

I'm sad to see such an excellent psychiatrist leave the area! He has been a top - notch, patient first, caring doctor. He's never spoken down to me, and always listen to my feedback.
