Dr. Vandana Agarwal, MD

I already did a review few years back I’m going to do another one please don’t come to see her for any cancer treatment I was a patient of hers in 2017 she was rude uncaring and never saw her only her physician assistant Brian when I made complaints about my care she never addressed the issue when it came time for my surgery she didn’t want to release me to the surgeon and played games with my paperwork I complained numerous times to iehp they never did nothing about it and till the day I still don’t have all my records of my care I received under her care and I had a reoccurrence from the same cancer and had to go to the city of hope where they know what they are doing so please if you have a friend or loved with diagnosed with any cancer I recommend you go somewhere else I had to give one star because it wouldn’t let me post this

I’ve had 3 appointments at Dr. Agarwal’s practice and all three have been equally disappointing. My average wait time has been about 45 mins-1 hour and THEY CHARGE FOR A DOCTOR’S NOTE FOR WORK BC YOURE GOING TO BE LATE BECAUSE THEY WERE BEHIND SCHEDULE. Dr. Agarwal is my PCP so I go for just regular check up visits/Physicals and have never once met Dr. Agarwal. I am always seen by the Physician’s Assistant that works there. The PA gets weirdly personal and brought up religion twice during two separate visits. The only way you can get your routine bloodwork results is to make a follow up appointment and come back, only to wait an entire hour past your appointment time to be handed a paper by the PA. Overall, just a poor experience and so much extra time wasted.

Let me start off by saying the staff is unorganized, rude, and shows no compassion. I only saw the dr once but it was her staff that made me not go back. I was scheduled for an infusion of iron and the staffing rescheduled my appointment 4 times. They couldn't get an RN on staff the days of appts. When I told them I couldn't reschedule due to my ride, the lady said ok, (could of caredless) I told he staff member I would be going to another dr because they were messing with my health the lady said "ok, I'll note that in your file". Unfortunately I cant rate the dr because i wasn't able to see her due to her staff

Dr. Agarwal is everything you do NOT want in a medical doctor. She does not explain lab results to her patients, which may not be an issue if she were competent, but she clearly isn't: I sought second and third opinions from other oncologists who were shocked at Dr. Agarwal's treatment recommendations for my cancer. She could not care less about her patients, and Thank God, it shows; otherwise, I may still be under her care, or rather, may have died under her care. She is incompetent, unprofessional, and plain mean. She borderline threatened me of legal action when I talked to her about what the other oncologists had told me. She claims having 20 years of satisfied patients, but I wonder how many she has sent to an early grave. It is mind boggling that she somehow still holds a medical license. If you care about your life or that of a loved one, stay far away from Dr. Agarwal.

If you need to have information transferred between this provider and another, make sure you do plenty of follow-up, because it is rare they will do things the first time. I'm not a cancer patient, and as this is primarily a cancer treatment center, I feel sorry for those cancer patients they do have.

She let my cancer advance for 6 months without care or concern. Neither she, nor her staff show any signs of compassion. The attitude among all of them, including the Dr. is, "Well, you won't be the first person to die of cancer." She is so FIRED and doesn't even know it yet. Never, never, never go to her. She doesn't offer "New Hope." I was expected to settle for "No Hope."

Terrible office staff. Rude.

Dr. Agarwal is by far the best within her field. I have ITP which is a blood disorder and quite difficult manage especially the platelete count. I have been to Cedar Sinah and USC and have seen the top blood doctors in the business. Dr. Agarwal is by far more complete not only in the diagnosis of this disease but her approach to the treatment. She looks at the total picture of health and designs effective treatments which, is better than the big doctors who thrive on big Pharma companies for grants and such. My advice to anyone who has cancer or a blood related disease check this brilliant Doctor out you will be suprised. In addition she assist especially when the drug companies say no!!!

I have been a patient for over 5 years. I missed an appointment a few months ago and to this date I have not received a call asking me why I missed my appointment and if I would like to reschedule. Apparently 5 years means nothing.

Took three weeks to make an appointment with her and then 2hours in the waiting room. When I finally got to see her she was rude. She walked out the door before I was done telling her my concerns. I followed her down the hall and told her I wasn't done and that I had other concerns and I gave her an example of one of my concerns and she turned to the office staff and told them to give me a referral to a gynecologist and then walked away. She then came back and said she noticed I wasn't satisfied and said this is how insurances work nowadays. I really don't know what my insurance has to do with her being rude.
