Dr. Vellore P Jayakrishnan

Dr. Jay was truly the best pediatrician anyone could ask for. I’m 25 years old now, and I still have yet to find a doctor who compares to him. He cared for his patients with so much kindness, patience, and genuine compassion, it never felt rushed. He always took the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make both kids and parents feel comfortable and reassured. Growing up, going to the doctor because of Dr. Jay never felt scary. He made you feel seen, safe, and cared for, and that is something that has stuck with me well into adulthood. His dedication and warmth left a lasting impact on so many families, including mine. He truly set the bar for what a great doctor should be, While we wish him nothing but happiness and relaxation in retirement, his presence and the care he gave will always be remembered and appreciated by the many families who were lucky enough to have him as their doctor.

Dr.Jay was and forever will be the greatest doctor i have ever had. I have yet to meet another Doctor like him.

Dr.Jay was the greatest doctor of all time. I still have yet to find another doctor just as good as him. He truly cared about his patients all of the other doctors i’ve seen since he has retired have just rushed me out of the office or gave me a false diagnosis and i end up in the emergency room that was one place doctor Jay never wanted his patients. I truly miss doctor Jay and i wish he was still practicing medicine.- my family and i are forever grateful to have had him as our doctor.

I hope that Dr. Jay will be able to read these. He is an incredible doctor, and humanitarian. He just called me back (even after retiring) to give me medical advice for my 19 year old. Dr. Jay loves his dog as much as his patients. He respects all life. Dr. Jay never "went Hollywood", and got caught up in the trappings of a doctor's life. He is humble. I wish there was a way to have a tribute to him (we could fill a room with grateful patients), but he is too modest for that. He bakes, devotes time and $ to The Smile Foundation (we have donated in his honor), he had bypass surgery, and I didn't even know it (he was back to work in 10 days). I selfishly wanted him to work forever, but he deserves to pursue his hobbies. I was looking for his home address too, and found this site. We are all lucky to know this great man. I am forever grateful.

This man is by far the most incredible healthcare professional out there. I have seen him for all 24 years of my life. With each thorough check up, you also get invaluable education and warmth. He is retiring unfortunately. My greatest wish is that all doctors could be as wonderful as he has been for all that have crossed his path.

My kids are grown now I found this site by chance looking for Dr. Jay's address to send him a card. Dr. Jay saved my daughter's life 30 years ago when he correctly diagnosed her illness as shigella, something that the er physiciatn did not pick up. We chose Dr. Jay a year before when our first daughter was born 2 weeks early and tiny...4 pounds 12 ounces. The pediatrician that we had.chosen was on vacation at the time of our daughter's birth and Dr. Jay graciously took her on as his patient. Thank God for Dr. Jay and may God bless him.

Dr. Jay is without exception the tops. He rarely vacations, and picks up his own phone. There is no secretary. If you call the office at 3 a.m., he picks up. He is a fabulous diagnostition. He examines the whole child from head to toe, and asks questions....and actually listens. No insurance plans though, but it's worth the $$.
