Dr. Venkatachalam Mulukutla, MD

I visited this physician with the expectation of receiving professional care and respect for my time. Unfortunately, what I encountered was a complete disregard for both. Despite arriving early for my scheduled appointment, I was left waiting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half without any updates, apologies, or acknowledgment from the staff or the doctor. There was no indication that my time—or presence—was valued. In a healthcare setting, where patients often rearrange their day or take time off work to be seen, this level of indifference is unacceptable. A medical professional’s responsibility extends beyond clinical expertise; it includes treating patients with dignity and respecting their time. Sadly, that was not the case here.

I had coronary angiography performed by Dr. Mulukutla and upon completion, the Dr. told me that “we’ll play it by ear” which left me thinking that the blockage wasn’t an emergency. A few days later I received a phone call from his office and was scheduled to have a stent put in which surprised me. Before the stent procedure, I had an appointment talked to his assistant, and found I had 70% blockage. I was angry because he was dishonest with me from the very start and I had to pay for another doctor's visit to find out about the blockage. We wonder why healthcare costs are expensive.

This review is from a 30+ year Cardiac Rehab, ICU, OR and Nursing Administration R.N, who has seen every level of incompetence in the medical profession. My husband was Dr. Mulukutla's patient. We found him to be a very competent Doctor. HOWEVER....his office staff is grossly incompetent, sloppy, disorganized, and worse, cover their omissions and mistakes with lies. They have failed us in so many ways, that we will never go back to this office. Dr. Mulukutla seems not to be aware of all the sloppy incompetence in his own front office. That is a mistake.
