Dr. Verlia Cole Gower, MD

Dr. Gower has operated on all 4 of my children. She is very wise, caring, and will get your child what they need. Don't let any tough surface fool you, she cares a lot.

Worst wait time with young children. No consideration for parents. Needs improvement with bedside manner. Called us day of preop appointment to reschedule appointment with less than an hour's notice. Also stated they would cancel my son's surgery if we could not make new times. They were not accommodating, unprofessional and rude. Save your money and see an ENT with skill and bedside manner.

This woman has zero personality. I did not feel confident having her conduct a procedure on my child after meeting with her.

I took my son to this practice for issues with his ears. Everyone from the front desk to the lady performing the tests was just great. They were friendly, personable and seemed happy to answer questions. After the testing, we were placed in a patient room to wait on the doctor. The doctor on duty was Dr. Gower. She was not friendly. She was very rude to me. Did not smile. Did not even attempt to interact with my child. I had maybe 4 or 5 questions, which visibly bothered her as she would huff and sigh heavily as if I bothering her. Very shocked at her behavior. I considered she may have been having a bad day, so I checked her reviews out online after our visit and see many other parents having similar experience to mine. We will not see her again and would not recommend her to anyone.

The wait time was 3 hours with no apologies. Horrible bedside manners.

The Audiologist we saw was excellent, caring and thorough. Dr. Gower was not pleasant. As first time parents, we had many questions and concerns. We asked her the risks associated with the surgery and she simply stated, "the ones I have already mentioned". She did not smile and was not comforting. Needless to say, we will not see her again nor will she perform our daughters surgery.

Dr. Gower is a wonderful doctor. I love the fact that she called us directly about our daughter. My daughter loves her, and she always makes me feel that any questions that I have about our daughters condition and treatment is important. She does not talk at you..she talks to you and your child. I come from a family of doctors ... This lady is a gem..

I brought my son to be seen. She honestly could not be more rude to him or me. The staff was great! She never smiled or said anything nice..it was like we were in the army. I would not recommend seeing her unless you want to be disrespected or teach your children a lesson on how to be unsympathetic.

Very professional and up front. Caring and willling to take as much time as needed for our appointments and surgery.

I'm sure Dr. Gower is plenty qualified in her profession, but unfortunately, her bedside manner leaves much to be desired. If she would just smile...once... that would help! She appears grouchy, uninterested and in a hurry. My 16 mo old daughter has been to see several doctors in the past 6 mos, all of which I would bring her back to... except for Dr. Gower. I had heard negative reports about her, but thought I'd give her a chance. Oh well... live and learn.
