Dr. Verlyn O Warrington, MD

I don’t usually leave reviews but after my experience with this Dr. Warrington I feel like I have to. From the second she walked in the room she was already dismissive. She barely let me speak before cutting me off and jumping to conclusions. The whole appointment she seemed more focused on how I looked on the outside than what I was actually saying. She told me multiple times that I “looked perfect” which completely invalidated everything I was trying to share. My struggle has nothing to do with appearance. I may look fine and I do take care of myself, but the food noise is constant and exhausting. It affects my mental health every day and makes me feel trapped. I tried to explain that but she brushed it aside like it wasn’t important. What I needed was someone to listen and understand, but instead I felt ignored, minimized, and disrespected. I walked out of that office feeling worse than when I walked in, which should never be the result of a doctor’s visit. Patients deserve to be… heard and taken seriously, especially when they’re being vulnerable about something that affects every part of their life. Instead of support, I got judgment and dismissal. Only after seeing a new doctor who treated me with compassion and actually listened did I realize just how poorly I was treated here. The contrast made it clear, this provider should not be caring for people struggling with these issues until she learns to approach patients with empathy and respect.
