Dr. Vilray Papin Blair III, MD

Dr Blair is a non nonsense physician/surgeon. He tells it like it is, what to expect, answered all my questions so that I understood the answers. He did both my hip replacements, visited me every day in the hospital, asked if I had any questions, was interested in, and caring, about my progress. He has a sense of humor but he is all about business. I have recommended him to friends and would definitely go to him again if he were available. Excellent, caring physician! The office staff always attentive, helpful and friendly.

Quite frankly it was time for Blair to retire. At onetime I would have considered him a top notch bone guy but he ran his course. Very weak and maybe even lazy.Its sad.

After he was done with me...I was worse. He screwed me up...then retired. Now I am another doctor's problem.

I had a horrible experince with this MD. I find it unfortunate that he list as one of his specialties is leg length discrepancies,since he caused me a severe one. in the 1st hip replacment my leg came out too long. 3 yrs later when he did the opposite hip,he took it upon himself to "lengthen" my other leg. We never discussed this,I never consented to the procedure. That leg still hurts and it's been over 10 years.

More interested in getting you to the operating room than actually diagnosing you.Never admits his mistakes,in fact will look you in the eye and lie.

If he makes a mistake besure he will never admit it and you will forever be paying the price physicaly and emotionaly for what he as the expert should not have done. As of 2008 it costs me $100.00 per shoe to have a lift put on. Not to mention I can hardly walk on my club foot that is now my long leg. It developed a knot under my heel where all my wait pounded while I was put through months of physical therapy. He told them I needed to walk on a treadmill holding up my hip because it was weak not too short. All I needed was I'm sorry he made a mistake and pay for the costs of medical bills. several surgeries and travel exspences to go to Baltimore to real experts have come to over 100,000 dollars for me to endure. Then finding out one much simpler surgery would have taken care of the problem added to Dr. Blair if admitted it could of fixed it before it healed. Now its my cross to bare.
