Dr. Vincent Marie Jean Arlet, MD

Doctor Arlet turned my life of incessant pain into one where I can now enjoy activities such as rigorous hiking pain free. He and his partner surgeon performed an extensive scoliosis operation involving multiple fusions and hardware. It was a long procedure and recovery but his outstanding physician’s assistant Erin Keane helped me along every step of the journey. Dr. Arlet also runs a pro bono nonprofit where he performs surgeries in developing nations.

I started with my first spinal surgery in 2005 at Hopkins. Then a second, and a third at Lennox Hill; all with great surgeons. BUT, it is Dr. Arlet's surgical skills that have allowed me to walk and stand for the first time in 25 years without pain. I usually walk with a cane for fear of falling and I have given that up at times along with a scooter I used for long distances. My children feel he has given my life back and I do as well. I can recommend him without reservation and have to others. Do not hesitate to make an appointment.

I saw Dr Arlet today for my 2-3 post for cervical myelopathy and even though I know I have a long road with this, I know I will have a great outcome because of Dr Arlet, so incredibly brilliant in his work and every one that is trained under him! Thank you again Dr Arlet !!!????

My first fusion was at 16 at dupont childrens hospital. since then i have had numerious spine surgeries over the years. iam now 63 and was lucky enough to have found Dr. Arlet! Dr. Arlet performed very complex neck surgery on me two years ago. My results are far better than I expected. I really feel he saved my life. I have screws and plates and rods. I walk 4 miles a day and I am doing great and I am 70.

Does not listen to questions or explain results very well.

Best scoliosis doctor

Went for a diagnosis of severe sculiosis. and options to relieve the pain that I am experiencing. Arrived early and I was fortunate that he was able to see me. Very pleasant environment and care from all associated with Dr. Arlet. Answered all of my questions and he explained the possible surgery option and gave me a demonstration of what would be done. Seemed VERY thorough.

For years I was suffering spinal stenosis. I saw various spinal specialists and they kept on injecting spinal shots and prescribing medicine to alleviate the pain. Well that didn't work. I search for a spine specialist at Penn Med. and long behold there was Dr. Arlet. I took my MRI to Dr. Arlet and right away he pin pointed the issue. A vertebrae compressing the nerve. Surgery was performed on a Tuesday and by Friday I was walking 1/2 mile with staples on my back. For 8-9 yrs I was not able to walk from one room to another. Thank you Doc and his staff.....
