Dr. Steve Nguyen, MD

I had my left knee replaced nearly 3 years ago. Nguyen never straightened my knee as witnessed by Amanda his nurse. x-rays show that the pin was put in crooked as my new doctor has shown me. So, now I'm looking at a second operation to straighten this as it's getting worse over time.. My new Dr. took one look and said it was a mess. Glad some folks had a good result, mine.....not so much.

If I could I’d give Steven Nguyen MD a much higher rating than 5 stars. He’s an incredible surgeon and has an awesome team. I had R knee replacement 5 days ago. The experience has been remarkable. Minimal discomfort and well on my way to full recovery. Thank you Dr. Nguyen for this life changing surgery. Can’t wait until quality of life returns after the recovery period. Several of my friends had knee replacement’s and they all got along very well. I had knee replacement 3 weeks ago today. I was walking on the 1st day. I am 80 years old and I can’t believe how well I can walk. He performed hip surgery on my son and did a great job. Day after my surgery there were about 6 patients in an excersise room, five of the patients had TKR by Dr. Nguyen and only one by another Doctor. It was amazing how all five Dr. Nguyen patients could do the exercises without any issues and the one patient by another Doctor could not do anything. I have spoke with a couple Therapist and they all say the same about Nuygen....his patients recover much faster!!

Be very careful with this guy. He ruined both my knees. Right knee replaced first with good results left knee done the following year. It was a mess! Excruciating pain where replacement moved and he would not do revision surgery for three months. I was immobile for three months with leg brace where many complications were caused to my right knee causing edema and pain onto my once healed right knee. Now a year later I’m still in pain in both knees where they buckle if I’m on them too long. My pain was nowhere near this bad prior to what this butcher did to both knees.

I visited the office for a consultation regarding knee surgery, but was disappointed after the dr told me they did not like to do surgery past age 87. due to possible complications. If this is their practice people should be advised prior to an office visit since I had to wait a long time in the office for xrays and dr visit. and and spent considerable time in expense completing the necessary paperwork. The dr gave me a cortisone shot and told me to return in 3 months.

Outstanding Doctor for hip replacement.

He doesn’t know his left from his right. He placed a right elbow implant into my left elbow and destroyed all the records and I have been in horrible pain ever since. My arm has been useless ever since.

Great doctor, I was walking the day of surgery! Got out the next day as opposed of the people that had the traditional surgery. Too bad for them, great for me and the others! He has the personality of a turd, but a nice turd. His back office sucks monumentally. His mother is traditional Vietnamese (read mama san) and knows what is going on but can't communicate it very well. His wife Pam is supposed to be the office manager but sorely lacks the skills to accomplish that. His PA at the time (3 years ago) is awesome in my opinion.

Doctor, hospital, staff all 5 stars. Naturally there is pain however I was up and walking within two days, impressed my PT big time with my range of motion. My appointments were made so efficiently and seemlessly. Everyone new what the other one needed. Dealing with dr Nguyen's office was like dealing with a well-oiled machine. Same for hospital.

My most memorable experience was after two days I can walk without the waker. Within a week I climbed the stairs to my room. After the first month I would walk one mile, two months after two miles and now I do two to three miles every day. I have lost fifteen pounds and my LDL chostrol is down by 66 points. I am happy I can do different things with my grands.
