He is so condescending and dismissive. He asked me questions and when I didn’t know the answer he had rude and condescending comments. For example when I didn’t know an over the counter dosage of one of my vitamins he said- how do you not know, how am I supposed to treat you if you don’t know this. He made rude comment about several things, with the tone of disbelief at my idiocy. I ask him to look at a place on my foot he was dismissive and again made comments with the tone of disbelief at my stupidity. This is my second second visit where he has done this. First one he made me cry but not this time. I packed up my stuff- told him to finish what he needed to do to finish the visit. He then acted like he had know idea why I was upset. He asked to explain himself and started calling me ma’am, Which again implies that I am being irrational and he is having to calm me. I told him all of the above things to his face. I will never be back and I would not ever recommend him!

All Dr Girgis knows about thyroid disease is the TSH test, an extremely irresponsible way to manage thyroid disease. This guy is stuck in the 70s, as far as treatment. Shockingly ignorant. Do yourself a favor and run, do not walk, away from this office.

I have been seeing Dr. girgis for several years now and find him and his staff very professional and courteous. He is knowledgeable and explains things so I can understand what he means. He answers any questions I have and I have never felt rushed. It did take a while to get the first appointment, but to get the best it may take a while.

This is a first for me... The doctor does NOT do any testing in his office, which means I need to schedule to have labs performed before every visit. Now I understand that I periodically need to visit a lab but not every 3 months or more. He should, at a minimum, be able to perform A1c's (diabetic mesure) in the office. I have been cared for by 3 previous Endocrinologists and all have done A1cs. I do not have any other local options and this is a major bummer.

When I called for an appointment for my very elderly mother, the earliest available was 2 months out; however, the receptionist told me they frequently have cancellations and asked if I wanted them to call if one came available. I agreed and about two weeks later, the receptionist called to let me know an opening was available in 2 days. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone else waiting in the reception area. By the time we filled out the normal forms and waited about 5 minutes we were escorted into the exam room. Dr. Girgis came in and spoke and examined my mother. My mother is very hard of hearing and he spoke slowly and clearly so she could understand. He was caring and thorough. He explained his diagnosis to us and didn't end the appointment until we finished asking questions. We were never rushed.

Very hard to get a first time appointment. The wait is at least a month. Worked out good that one came up cancelled and they called me in early.

The nurse at the front desk is really nice. Beyond that the service goes down hill. The nurse that weighted me, only said one word to me "Scale". After taking my weight she walked to a empty room without asking me to follow. Dr. Girgis seems to have a lot to knowledge but he can be a bit curt. He asks as if he did not want me to ask any questions.
