Wen Chao, MD

,I believe that Dr. Wen Chao must have had her friends write positive comments about her. She not only has the most vile tech working for her who is rude to all patients and is straight off the streets of Philadelphia and they are despised by patients and colleagues alike. Dr Chao has many do-overs of her own surgeries as can be confirmed by hospital staff. She has been reported to the State Medical Board for incompetence.

As someone who has been treated for a stress fracture and fracture of the foot as well as a badly sprained ankle over the last few years , I can truly say that Dr Chao is the most competent and caring of doctors!! She listens to the patient and successfully treated each problem. Her staff is wonderfully attentive and understanding as well. Penn is lucky to have her on its team of physicians and I am lucky to have to have found her by way of referrals (many of them)!

Dr. Chao recently performed a tendon transfer procedure on my Achilles tendon, the third procedure she has completed for me. The most important thing a physician can provide his/her patients is the peace of mind in knowing that they are receiving the best care possible. Dr. Chao gives me this peace of mind, and I am always impressed with her professionalism and empathy. Yes, it is highly likely that you will have to wait a great deal of time to be seen. However, when Dr. Chao is with you, she is with you. Whether it is 30 seconds or 30 minutes, she takes the time to listen and explain, as well as empathize with the situation and provide insightful ideas on how to correct the issue. I am perfectly happy to wait to be seen, as I know that I am seeing the best in the business...

We saw Dr. Chao for a second opinion after being told there was no hope. Dr. Choa spent a lot of time with my daughter. I know several have complained about her wait time, but she's worth the wait! She explained the MRI to us and has a definitive plan in place. I'm so thankful that we found her. We have hope that something can be done to help the intense my daughter has been in.

This woman is a business woman not a doctor. She does NOT have the patient's best interest in mind. This woman made a serious mistake in my treatment and did not take any charge for it. DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR!

You know you are getting the best treatment around! Even though I waited 2 hours it was completely worth it. I will do whatever for my health. Thank you Dr. Chao!
