Dr. Wendy Chickering Ault, MD

My wife's experience with this Dr. was very poor to say the least. The Dr. decided to focus on my son's weight instead of listening to what we had to say, treating his symptoms, or focusing on our son's condition. Not 16 hours later our son is worse and running a fever. Her demeaner is condescending and not what we expect from a pediatrician. We are reconsidering our relationship with this practice or at a minimum we will make a point to request a different Dr.

My son saw Wendy Ault this morning and i have never encountered a more arrogant, demeaning, rude and inconsiderate doctor in all my life. Rather than taking into consideration a parents knowledge of their own child AND another pediatricians thorough diagnosis, she degraded his previous diagnosis and gave me several inaccuracies. She questioned us and refused to listen to anything i had to say. I will never step foot into this office ever again. I will also be filing a complaint with the Board in Richmond. I left the office only to return to get my children’s records and only then did she turn the corner and want to fill my sons necessary Rx to which I refused.

I have never experienced a doctor with the combination of misplaced arrogance and aggressive rudeness of Dr. Ault. Read the reviews here and on other rating sites, and you'll see I am not the only one. She doesnt appear to evaluate my son very completely, but if I voice any questions or make any comments whatsoever she dresses me down as if I am wasting her time and have no business questioning her. Worse, if I ask a question such as "specifically, what are you using to determine his core strength?" she snorts condescendingly and spits out something like: "My 30 years of experience."Worse still? I don't think she knows what she is doing. She got a substantial number of things wrong with our son. Doctors make mistakes, and I understand that, but if they make mistakes and are still snotty, rude, condescending and belittling, they should be avoided at all costs.Do yourself and your child a favor and make sure you never see Dr. Wendy Ault. The are too many good pediatricians around… to go to one of the worst in Northern Virginia.

Dr Ault has no business working is pediatrics. She is rude, abrupt, and downright terrifying. Our 2 year old has had a problem with doctors ever since seeing her. He was scared and crying, and she actually told us that unless we could rationalize with him and get him to calm down then we should leave, and that under no circumstances should we "coddle him". Uhm - he's 2 years old! Needless to say, we walked right out the door. AVOID at all costs.

I am an RN and I love Dr. Ault !! She is very through and caring. She sees all three of my children and we love her !! We are military and move around a lot, she is one of the best pediatricians we have ever seen. We definitely recommend her !!

Dr.ault has been my children's doctor for the past 6 years. She is very inteligent and knowledgable and very ethical. She spends a long time talking to you and answering your questions in detail. I love her.

Probably the most arrogant, condescending people I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. I will NEVER take my kids to her again.
