Fixed my chronic tennis elbow with a very accurately placed injection and will likely soon be fixing my wrecked knee. 100% confidence in Dr. Douoguih's diagnosis and complete trust in his technical expertise. Referred by my physical therapist who has seen the excellent results of his work on many patients.
Is probably the most capable and knowledgeable orthopeadic surgeon I have ever encountered. His diagnosis and proposed solutions seem dead-on and if his surgery is anywhere near as good as how well he can describe the diagnosis and potential remediation then he should he your first and last stop for any and all shoulder and elbow injuries / difficulties.
Do not use this orthopedist. I had a broken ankle from a sporting fall that was treated by a wonderful orthopedist in Colorado. I was two-months out, off crutches and just needed a final x-ray to make sure the bone was in place, and I could resume sports. I spend many minutes in the waiting room and empty offices while the doc spent all of 30 minutes with me looking at my x-ray and then said I was healing fine and could do everything I normally do, but that I should still come back in a month to do another x-ray (of which I thought was unnecessary if it was all healed). I was later billed $216 for this 30-min. advice and have yet to receive the x-ray bill. He then found out that I had taken a flight two months ago right after the break. My regular doctor. had been concerned about blood clouts and swelling so had me fly first class, leg elevated, blood-thinning injections the whole way. I had a doctor physically exam me for blood clots after, and I was fine, but this Dr. seemed to think I might still hv. blood clouts that could travel to my brain and kill me at any minute. He insisted I get an ultra sound, and when I protested because I thought it was useless and knew how much it would cost, his assistant called radiology to squeeze me and sent me down to the office. I got downstairs and promptly walked out of the building. For the next three days, his assistants continually hounded me to come in for an ultrasound on my leg. They said it would not be their fault if I died tomorrow from a clout as they had warned me to come in, and yes it was that serious. In the end, they freaked and stressed me out so much, I rescheduled the appointment and went in. Sure enough, the woman preforming the test told me it was completely useless as one needs to do it in the first couple weeks after a flight, and by now I would have known if I had had a clout. A few weeks later a $508 bill showed up in the mail. I am so frustrated with the medical system in the U.S. I feel like I cannot trust my own doctor because I think he or she is always trying to sell me some test I do not need to make more money for themselves. One doctor thought I had obstreperous (at 32!) due to my break and ordered me do five different blood and bone tests (of which I also walked out on). We should be able to trust those in the health field with the experience to tell us if we are really sick since our health is not something we should mess with, but how can we when it has become business all about making money. Do not be bullied or pressured by your doctors into unnecessary tests that stress you out even more and costs way too much, and do not go to this orthopedist for a broken bone or sports injury as he and his office will spend very little time on you, and you will spend way too much money on them.
