Dr. Bret Smith, DO

Not a great experience. Was consistently farmed out to a PA. Nine weeks after the surgery, I had to have a stitch removed that they both missed. Horrible communication, bad attitude, complete lack of follow through. He has now left the practice.

Dr Smith ruined my feet, much worse than before either Lapiplasty foot surgery, yes I had bunions and pain from the bunions that why I decided to trust him to remove them. He is on the Lapiplasty panel of Orthopedic Doctors...I still have 3 bunions and the pain in both feet that I live with daily is almost unbearable every day of my life. I had to have a second surgery on my right foot to repair a non union. Dr Jackson who took over my care after Dr Smith moved across the country repaired the non union and removed the bunion by the big toe. I still have 3 bunions and my feet are wider than before either foot surgery. I had a steroid shot to relieve the terrible pain in my FHL tendon, arch and big toe with no relief. ??

Had to seek out professional surgeon, after Dr Smith caused permanent damage and toe had to be amputated. Like all bad doctors, they move to other practices/jobs,so research all referrals before you become the next victim.

Dr. Smirh and team are great. Always willing to go that extra mile to do what they can for you. Staff always friendly and very helpful. Dr. Smith to me there is no better doctor. Always answers all questions and explains things to you in terms a patient can understand. I highly recommend him and his staff. Great doctor and great team. Thanks for everything.

Suffered with intense pain for 8 months. He rarely saw me although he did surgery on me. Always farmed me off to his PA. Finally fed up with not being helped and switched to new Dr. New doctor did what Smith would or could not do I was pain free within 8 weeks.

I recently underwent a serious foot operation called a triple arthrodesis. Dr. Smith diagnosed my problem and explained the surgery to me, but he did not pressure me to have the surgery. It was entirely my choice. The surgery was a complete success, and I am now able to walk without pain for the first time in years. Dr. Smith saw me all the way through the healing process.
