I have suffered from migraines since I was 12 years old. It got so bad in my late 40's that I was unable to work or care for my children. I was referred to Dr. Young and he has stood by me for years and truly given me back my life. I know there are no quick fixes for my pain, but Dr. Young has been incredibly patient and supportive of me, which is why I don't hesitate to fly from the Midwest to see him every 3 months....

Dr. Young is a brilliant and very caring doctor....I've been his patient for several years and I'm not sure what I would have done had I not found him.

Saw him for chronic daily migraine. Since I am a heavier person he jumped right to Pseudotumor cerebri, and wanted to do an LP. He botched it completely. I've lived in static severe pain for 9 years and I have a very high threshold, but he was so brutal with it I was screaming the entire time. That is not me, I am the furthest from a dramatic, loud person. He left permanent damage which now leaves me with chronic sciatica and a limp. Because I needed more pain. Turns out a competent doctor diagnosed me with my actual illness, and managed to treat me without being barbaric.

Was treated for chronic daily migraine, very satisfied to find pain relief that did not last but a few months, but that was more than anywhere else. Heartily recommend Dr. Young.

I have been seeing Dr. Young for years for chronic complex migraines with aura. While I have never expected a complete cure for my migraines, he has helped me find significant relief, trying a variety of options, including non-conventional approaches to treat some of my more unusual aura symptoms. My husband & I are both in the medical field, and if I present an informed suggestion as to a new approach to try, he listens and is either willing to try it, or gives me a good explanation as to why that wouldn't be a good idea. He is up-to-date on all the latest treatment techniques and isn't willing to settle for headaches that don't have a successful abortive when there are other options that haven't been tried. While he is occasionally running behind schedule, in each appointment I have had with him, he has given me undivided attention and patience, making sure we have thoroughly discussed all my concerns. His office has been able to consistently obtain insurance approval for Botox… treatments, while other headache specialists I have seen were not willing to do the paperwork. The waiting room has three different areas with varying levels of light for those with light sensitivity, which allows me to take my sunglasses off inside. The nursing staff that answers phone inquiries is exceptional and provides prompt and thorough solutions and access to physicians. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I drive from Virginia Beach to Philly because there is no one better than Dr. Young. A wonderful man and physician.

I've been seeing Dr. Young for almost 20 years now. I would say that he would consider me amongst his more "difficult" cases in the past. With that being said, he never gave up hope on me, and often told me that when I needed to hear it. I went through many, many medications and surgeries and he kept trying. Overall an amazing person.

I was a patient of Dr. Young for many years, working on managing my chronic, debilitating migraine. We tried pretty much every trick in the book, including herbal remedies (feverfew), supplements (magnesiun, B2), and many, many different prescription medications. Although we were not able to find a medication that worked for me without severe adverse side affects, Dr. Young was consistently supportive, nonjudgmental, and hopeful, continuing to seek treatments that might work for me, and encouraging me to avail myself of the lifestyle habits (yoga, aerobic exercise) that helped me manage my condition. He was also instrumental in diagnosing my gastroparesis.

Dr.Young,once you have established a relationship with him, displays compassion, great problem solving capacities, humor with promise of a cure.This relationship is not a one time visit. Many protocols must be followed, due to various standards and practices,but patience wins the race.Dr. Young, in my opinion, ranks with the best.

His only answer seems to be hospitalization and that is based on an inflexible protocal. If your getting relief in a year, find another doctor.

After waiting months for an appointment, I was offered the same drugs that all the other patients in the waiting room were on. No individual, open minded approach to my problem. No hope for a cure. And I was then left to fend for myself when the meds didn't work. Emotionally draining, not to mention physically painful visits.
