Dr. Woei Yeang Eng, MD

I emailed about my concerns and only half of my email was even addressed. I went in for an appointment and Dr. Eng acted like I was stupid for coming in at all since I did have an anaphylactic reaction. Even though the ACAAI says that gastrointestinal issues are also a sign of food ALLERGY not just intolerance. I would think that my throat swelling and needing to cough when I eat avocado would be indicative of a need to test for an allergy but Dr. Eng doesn’t bother to actually listen to his patients and just makes snap judgments on assumptions.

I went in with an obvious allergic reaction, red, puffy eyes and lips and rash on my neck. I told him that it had happened in the past and we thought it was related to a food allergy, probably corn. I also mentioned that we had just been in the yard raking and picking up debris from the winter and my past reactions were usually in the spring with the thaw as well. They tested me for indoor allergens only, no outdoor weeds and no corn. I was sent away with a prescription for some lotions to help with the itching rash... a HUGE tube and said to come back in 6-8 weeks. I want to figure out why I got the rash and not get it again. Not so much about how to treat it after I have it. Seems like they just wanted to make sure that I returned to spend more money that I don't have. Dr. Eng was a very nice person and seemed generally concerned about my issue but didn't really listen to me on what I wanted

He always takes the time to understand my issues. Good at follow up. Willing to try new things to benefit me.
