Dr. Wynelle R Snow, MD

This 'woman' is a pure quack. She shouldn't be practicing & yes I had appointments with her. I'm also retired out of mental health. She is known as being a pill pushing doctor and that is all she did with me. and when I consistently refused, she asked me when i was going to quit being a victim after I'd experienced homocides in my family. Quacks like this shouldn't be allowed to practice - they are not supposed to re-traumatize people because of their ignorance. there needs to be a law against shrinks that damage people. I'm sorry, but I have no good things to say about her or what she stands for - and that's another story

Dr snow. Saved my life!

I was experiencing a lot of anxiety during my divorce in 2012. A close friend suggested I see Dr. Snow. It took me three weeks to get an appointment the first time and I was very ill while waiting to see her. When I arrived and sat down there were two dogs in the room with us. I like dogs but the big one started to "Hump" on my leg and I was embarassed as the Dr. did nothing to get the dog to stop. The appointment was long and as it progressed the Dr.seemed less alert and kept nodding off. I thought she was listening to me until I heard her begin to snore. I almost walked out of the office then but I thought I'd be leaving with my problems still in tact so I made some noise and eventually she woke back up and I just made a comment about long night last night to her. When the appointment was almost over, she began to write out prescriptions for me and I left. On the next visit, she refilled my prescriptions and one of them had someone elses name on it. I did not catch that until I gave… it to the pharmacist who told me she would call Dr.Snow and clear it up and added Dr.Snow does this all the time. On my last visit,Dr. Snow seemed to be preoccupied, talking about a baseball game she was going to go to. I told her I do not like baseball and from there she seemed to get rude and blunt with me. Kind of scary and I felt like I just wanted out of the office. My divorce is over now and I never went back to see Dr. Snow. I told my family Dr. about the medicines Dr. Snow had put me on and would he prescribe them. He flat out told me he wished I had seen him before I went over to Dr. Snow for help because he would of encouraged me not to seek her advice at all. He said that half of our small Alaska island town's been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder by her so they keep going back to see her. That she over medicates her patients to the point of loss of daily functions and if I wanted to become a home veggie, Dr. Snow would see to it I did. I hope this review helps someone else out there. I would not see Dr.Snow again at any cost. Thanks

Dr. Snow has been very helpful, patient and compassionate in the past. She continues to be very patient and mostly helpful. Since a great personal loss and the local community scapegoating our Doctors for its perennial drug problems she has become vague and inconsistent. She has mood swings during appointments. She has made mistakes on prescriptions. She's been getting more regular recently so I'd still recommend some people to her. I guess bear in mind that she's a psychiatrist: she will observe a patient, form a diagnosis and prescribe medications... sometimes many medications. I was told by a physician that she had been nick named "snow-blind" for her liberal use of prescription medication.

she is always updated on meds. there for u when u need her.

she takes the time and has the interest to see what is going on. my life has been enriched seeing her. there has been a benifit to her transgender experience.
