I would highly recommend Dr. Dickens to anyone in need of a caring, empathetic, knowledgable, ethical, and experienced therapist. Dr. Dickens empowers his clients with the skills needed to work through their challenges while being empathetic to the reasons and hurdles that might inhibit progress. Dr. Dickens is one of the best listeners I know and responds with curiosity and thoughtfulness. I would (and have!) given Dr. Dickens' name to other individuals in need of a wonderful therapist.

he does not help trainees being terrorized and mugged, instead he scams on violent girls

Dr. Yani Dickens was a supervisor for my postdoctoral training and has been a colleague for the past several years. He is exceptionally dedicated to his clients and I frequently refer to him. I consult with him on complex cases and know that he will offer an ethical, informed perspective. Dr. Dickens has the rare gift of an approach that combines empirical support and a genuine, caring presence.

It's a pity that someone trolling the internet can leave damaging, inaccurate reviews of a professional such as the one left on this site previously by a very unhappy individual. Nothin could be further from the truth. Yani is a competent, caring psychologist. He specializes in sports psychology, is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and highly competence in cognitive behavioral therapy in general. When I was running a study, I specifically asked him if he would be a therapist on the project--because I knew he would do well by his patients! If you are looking for that combination of competence and care, he is it.

Yani Dickens sexually harassed me when he demanded to others I had cosmetic procedures even after I told him I didn't, so Yani Dickens objectified and snickered against me, he demeaned me.
