Dr. Yu-Hung Kuo is known for his innovative, aggressive approach to treating the most complex cerebral cases, particularly ones involving tumors of the brain and pituitary gland. He specializes in minimally invasive alternatives for cerebral surgery including neuroendoscopy and stereotactic radiosurgery â€“ a knifeless procedure that utilizes focused radiation to treat lesions of the brain. What differentiates Dr. Kuo among other neurosurgeons is his comfort in performing awake craniotomies for tumor resection, a technique also known as "awake surgery." This doctor removed part of a lesion on my brain, leaving me physically impaired for life, while he was a surgeon and a director at Stony Brook University Hospital, in New York. He advised me at the time that nerves were just traumatized and could recover. Shortly after another doctor told me several nerves had actually been cut during the surgery, I received a letter that Dr. Kuo left his positions at the hospital. There was no trace of him or his whereabouts for several years thereafter.

This Dr. PUNCTERED.. MY BOWELS!!!!! Leaving me with CRONIC diarrhea EVEN DAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!! He got away with it!!!!!

Dr. Kuo is by far one of the best surgeons we had to deal with over the years. He is compassionate, warm, you feel immediately at ease and an excellent surgeon.
