I have been going to Embracing Health for many years. I love that they have massage chairs a fountain and tea.I love their approach.I love that they’re open to ideas and new therapies. It’s hard to see Dr. V (after all she is only one person) But I really appreciated her enthusiasm and encouragement to work on my own health and get well not just take meds. I usually see Gia and have been very happy with her. She’s very sensitive and thoughtful and listens She has given me so much good advice and she told me to go off gluten. I wasn’t ready to do it and Ibelieved it was a fad… but then I found out many of the symptoms that I’ve been struggling with from dizziness and brain fog and having to sleep came from gluten. I even went to a very expensive naturopath who told me the same things she did. I am grateful for their knowledge And the fact that they realize there’s so much to know and learn. I love humility it’s a beautiful thing! thank you for your care and kind support . Thank you… for helping me get well and showing me the path to health. not just treating symptoms.

At one time many years ago this was a good office attempting to bring a more holistic approach to family medicine. Over the past few years, I have only seen the Nurse Practitioner(s) and not the doctor (over the course of the last 5 years, I don't recall seeing the doctor even once). While I like two of the NP's and think they do their best, however the office has become more like a bad puppy mill. With the goal being to increase revenue at the expense of patient care. I was recently seen for an episode that should have prompted an EKG. Instead, I was refereed to follow up with a cardiologist. When I asked why not do the EKG, I was informed that I was only scheduled for a 15 minute visit and that did not include an EKG but I should make an immediate/urgent appointment with a cardiologist. Luckily I was able to get an appointment the very next day with Dr. Yazdani's office (5 stars) who was shocked that an EKG was not performed. On top of this, the office prescribes medications for… no more than 90 days, requiring a 15 min office visit to get a refill. So even if they make a mistake, and you run out of meds, no refill will be given until you see the NP. Every time I go now, I feel like I am on an assembly line at a Yugo factory, with the overriding concern of making more money rather than quality care. I am also tired of office staff that can be very difficult to deal with. I am done using this office.

Despite the mixed reviews, I tried this practice as they are known for, supposedly, being holistic. I've had issues now, and I'm seriously searching for another practitioner. 1. They don't have after hours service. If your child gets sick, you can't call your doctor, you have to go to a strange doctor either at an urgent care or the ER. This is the first practice I've EVER been with that did not provide this for their patients. 2. Even if you are on medication that is not restricted, you have to go in personally for refills. Woe to those who run out before it's time for another appointment. I'm sometimes told to come in after three months, sometimes after 6. I'm never given enough refills for more than three months. 3. This was the issue that broke the camels back. We took my daughter in because she hurt her foot. Her normal physician, Dr. Amin, was not there, so she saw a nurse practitioner. Even though in the office, both she and my husband (who physically took… her) said it was her foot, the order for the x rays was for her ankle. A full third of her foot is missing because they focused on the ankle instead of the foot. When I called, we were told it was our fault, that we should have looked at the order and said no it wasn't right. Neither my husband nor I are medical professionals. He trusted the doctor to write the order properly and told the office that he does not have the medical training to confidently interpret any order given. Despite that, we are told that it's our fault and now we're going to have to have more x-rays done, which we are going to have to pay for out of our own pockets because of the provider's incompetence (It was a nurse practitioner, I believe her name was Gina). When I spoke to the office manager, she was very polite the entire time, despite the fact that I was very upset. There was something missing, though - sympathy and empathy. There was nothing. When I told her that she was being polite, I felt like she didn't care, she said this, "I'm sorry you feel that way." That is not an apology. That is basically her brushing off my feelings and concern. I'm so very, very disappointed by this practice. Stay far, far away. Addendum: I spoke with the co-owner on the phone (he refused to share the name of the other co-owner) for 45 minutes. He said he would look into it and make sure that they addressed it in a professional manner. He was sorry about it. Sorry does not do anything for the fact that we will now have to go and get ANOTHER set of x-rays which, while one of the cheapest imaging options, still cost money. I asked what would happen if they found that the practice was in the wrong, and basically was told that it would only be an 'I'm sorry'. No offer to reimburse for any medical costs due to their incompetence. Please avoid this practice. Addendum: I had an appointment already scheduled on Wednesday to follow up on my bloodwork (which was done by Dr. Amin, not the practitioner who dealt with my daughter's injury) and now the co-owner is saying he is going to cancel all my appointments (after hours so I can't call and do anything about it and he knows I'm going to be out of town all day the next day). I did NOT authorize this. I HAVE to have that appointment because I have to go over the results of the bloodwork and get refills for my medicine. So here he is also assuming something that he shouldn't be. I had even told him over the phone NOT to cancel my appointments. Be warned!

Dr.V is ok. She doesn't expend more than 10 min with you but she is ok. The front desk and manager of this place are just so rude and have no consideration for any patient. I was a patient for more than 10 years!! They are very rude and disrespectful. You are JUST a number and $$$, nothing else!

I've been a patient for more than 5 years and my satisfaction has gone down. Dr. V is all about less than fifteen minutes visit. Sometimes around 5 min, visit. Most of the time you will see a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant that have no idea what they are doing. Her PA Amin gave medicine and when I saw Dr.V , she told me that I should not take that medicine. I never told her, that her PA was the one that prescribed. If you try complain about how short is your visit with her, she will have an attitude and will not expend any extra time with you.

You will not receive an appointment if you are sick. You will be referred to ER or Minute Clinic. You can get an appointment if you know you are going to be sick and make the appointment months in advance.

If you need to her or just an appointment for being sick, not a good place to be. They will not work you in. You will be refer to the ER or to an Urgent Care. I saw her NPs more than I saw her.

Dr did detailed blood tests that clearly showed metabolism / thryoid level deficiencies that other doctors said I only imagined when I described serious symptoms. Dr seeks natural supplements rather than manmade medicines wherever possible as first course... listens well. Was extremely highly recommended to me by others.

I've been a patient for a few years now, and my satisfaction has steadily gone down each year. This past year she has opened up a new office and she is all about the fifteen minute visit. Most likely you will see a nurse practitioner or physician's asst., which is fine, IF they were willing to spend enough time with you to hear your concerns/questions. Today, I came prepared with questions regarding my lab reviews and was very insistent on having a meaningful visit. She definitely had an attitude, but nevertheless spent extra time with me. Someone knocked on the door twice and she said she needed to move on after the second time. I thanked her for spending time explaining the lab results (although she did it reluctantly). The last thing she said to me was that she hoped I remembered her when she was staying late catching up on her paperwork. This sums up the care I have received in the past couple years. I and a friend have both showed up for fasting labs on two different occasions,… only to find they did not have the needed materials to draw the labs! Sadly, I would not recommend this doctor anymore.

Treated for a severe upper respiratory, no follow up, no return calls despite calling several times during the day for a refill, come to find out at 5:15 the PA is out all day and I have to WAIT until tomorrow to schedule and be seen. What I have is borderline PNEUMONIA and no courtesy, professionalism or follow up from anyone in this practice! FIRED THEM, beyond incompetent. Uncaring and wondering why the doctor isn't involved in her own practice?
