Dr Zacharia Isaac, MD

All around not a good experience. Dr. Isaac is supposed to be a pain management doctor, but I came away with no real advice on pain management. He seems more concerned about saving money for the insurance companies than ordering a relevant test (saying: “If your condition is better, then you don’t need the MRI, if it’s worse then you would just worry about it”). He also made ageist comments (“We all get old” then asked “how long do you want to live?”) because of the moderate but regular pain I have, even though it’s been improving. He gave the impression that it wasn’t worth for me to live. I am only in my mid-fifties, and otherwise very healthy and fit (considerably more so than average). Before the appointment, one of his scheduling staff was mocking me in the voicemail she left for me; another communicated to me via the portal as if giving orders to an 8-year-old. The only good experience was a brief interaction on the phone with a male, and the nurse at the appointment.

Received shot from Dr Isaac. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He explained everything before and after. Made sure I was comfortable. Great doctor.

My husband received injections to his spine yesterday. Dr. Issac was personable and left no questions unanswered.

Don’t waste your time. He does not want to help. He will leave you in pain. Tries to treat real pain conditions with psychological tactics. A serious waste of time, and shame of a dr.

Referred to him by another BWH doctor. First suggested that my pain was entirely caused by depression. Ordered MRI & tried 1 injection. When that didn't work he sent me on my way with a "I hope you feel better soon." His diagnoses changed multiple times and it was clear that he didn't want/have time to treat me. He was disrespectful throughout the entire process and left me with more questions than answers.

I have chronic pain from a herniated disc and have been to other pain management departments and doctors in Boston. Dr Isaac is by far the best, the kindest and the most skilled at administering injections. The whole pain management dept at the Faulkner Hospital is exceptional -- Dr isaac and his wonderful staff of nurses - Michelle, Kathy etc. As a team, they are professional, compassionate, patient and experienced. I have had an excellent experience with this doctor and the department.

Dr Isaac is an extremely caring physician. the wait time may be a little long but he is worth waiting for.

Dr. Isaac's expertise is second to none! I'm so fortunate to have been a recipient of his expertise!

Highly recommend Dr. Isaac!

Charged $140 for sending an email about bad RX side effects. Seriously! Good-bye Dr. Isaac.
