Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Makhdoom, MD

I highly praise Dr. Makdoom, not only as a gastroenterologist, but also as a general physician. His expertise covers all the differentials to a problem. For example, this morning I visited him for an endoscopy, and he made the decision for me to have an x-ray (right in his office), and discovered I have pneumonia! He is an excellent listener and an outstanding physician. May God bless him always.

I waited for over an hour to get called in for a colonoscopy and was told not sure how long it would be so I walked out. This experience with makhdoom and his staff has confirmed to me that as one previous patient had stated " it is not a doctor's office but a cash machine" is spot on correct. I will never deal with this "doctor" or his staff ever again. I am very happy though that my insurance does not have to pay for any procedure since there wasn't one. Also, I will always check the reviews on any business before dealing with them.

It was the best experience I have ever had. I had a colonoscopy and from the time I stepped in the office until the moment I was escorted to the car, things were amazing. I am forever grateful.

Our experience from the front door to the back door was exceptional. The facility is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Dr. Makhdoom and his staff explained the procedures in detail and gave clear instructions on the next steps. I have always gone to St. Louis for my GI issues, but am in the process of switching my care to Dr. Makhdoom.

After several Doctors and about 6 Hospital admissions for pancreatitis, I saw Dr Makhdoom... he told me in 2 minutes what my real problem was, and suggested an immediate ERCP. Following the outpatient procedure, I asked the Dr when my followup would be. He said that I would not need a followup, that I would be fine. I have never had it since ! He is a tad cocky, but he fixed me up totally and this has never returned ! He is quite good ??

Extremely unprofessional staff and nurses that cause unnecessary stress and worry by prematurely misdiagnosing. They lost the first page of my report, so spent 6 months running more tests that were unnecessary had we had the first page. In the meantime they told my husband it was probably cancer. I'm under 30 years old so this was extremely upsetting news. It turned out to be Celiac's disease. Returned for routine monitoring and was told after a year of strict gluten free dieting that my condition had not improved. A week later received a call that the nurse had given me old test results and my test results were actually greatly improved. Again causing undue stress and worry. Do yourself a favor and find a different specialist.

I’m so glad we saw Dr. Makhdoom. He uses technology to show yoi what is going on, he’s thorough, patient, and doesn’t over diagnosis. I drove an hour to see him, well worth the drive and wait to see him. Glad he diagnosed the problem and now we can resolve it! Awesome visit!

If you want to be treated by the best you go to this office. Dr. Makhdoom is the most caring and compassionate doctor you will come across. He never gives up on you not like some doctors I know that do. His staff are truly amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor and his staff. I was not giving the information I need after wating a month and tacking off work they cancel my appointed because of blood thinner but they told me when I made my app not do to any thing special they didn't even have Courtisy to call me and remind me about my app

Adsoulte the best doctor, he is very through. He really cares you are nothe a number to him or his staff. His staff are truly amazing .
