Arrived on time in the pre surgery room and was the first one I met when I awoke asking me how I was doing and asked me how I was doing and informed me that I will be in pain for a few days but the staff will ensure his pain is reduced to the minimum

This doctor's arrival on time saved my life. He made a right decision that I needed a by pass instead of being stented

Dr Zak's quick action as an anesthesiologist saved my life when I arrived at hospital with 90% blockage he immediately summoned a n Intervention cardiologist who did an aerogram and found I was 90% clocked and my choice was to either get a stent in my main artery or go through a bypass surgery. He gave me an alternative to both. Consulted with family and suggested a bypass. he arranged for a surgeon who performed the surgery and saved my life. He is a great doc

I recently had an open heart surgery at Torrance Memorial Service. The Operating surgeon was seeking a Thoracic Anesthesiologist. Dr. Zak who had been on call for over 12 hours and was on his way home when the surgeon requested him to administer aesthesia. Dr Zak with short notice appeared in the OR in his scrub and gave me the confidence I needed to go through my surgery. The next morning he was in my room to greet me and check my status

Dr. Rangwala worked very efficiently with mu surgeon and was at the hospital within a short notice from my surgeon, within minutes he was in the prep room talking to me and discussing my health history and then gave me a brief information on how fast I was going to be asleep and want feel any pain when the surgeon performs his surgery

This was the first time in the series of surgeries I have had over years that an Anesthesiologist before I was wheeled into the operating room told me how comfortably I was going to be before the staff in the operating room would be touching her. He was there at the time the nurse had told me that the anesthesiologist will be coming and giving me details. As he was injecting some fluid into my ivy tube he told me that I would fall asleep with 60-90 seconds and will not even know that I went through a surgery till I awake in the recovery room. The young man visited me in the recovery area and then the same evening he visited me in my room to check if I had any nausea of dizziness . St. Mary's should be happy to have a Doctor of his caliber on their staff

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Zak for the first time in pre surgery prep room, I was impressed with this young doctor and his pre surgery advice that made me very comfortable of how I was going to go in a deep trance and will come out of it with a new me. His bed side manners was just great. He is an ideal person to chat with an operating room. The next day after my surgery this young doctor came to my room and had a short conversation and asked me to contact him if he had any sort of nausea. Dr. Zak is an asset to St. Mary's hospital in San Francisco

This the only doctor, I know who called me after I saw him in the ER room. He called me the next morning to inquire if I had a comfortable night. This young man reakly cares

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Zak after my surgery. I had nver mett him before but after my surgery at UCSD hospital he came to my room and inquired how I was doing and conforted me about the tauma I had gone thru. He told me that I was a good patient when he was adminstering the anesthesia. I have not heard of an Anesthesiologist coming to a patients room after suregry and inquiring the health status.
