I have been iffy about leaving a review, because I still need medical help.. I went to Dr. Ren at USF Health center in 2017. I had an MRI done on my right ear due to hearing loss and severe tennitis. The MRI showed nothing wrong with my ear, but an incidental finding of a cyst on the lower right side of my brain. My ENT sent me to a neurologist who gave me a prescription to narrow down the symptoms in relation to my diagnoses. Of course, the prescription helped - but gave me worse side effects - so I stopped taking that and was given only one other option .. To see a surgeon.. So my first place to call was USF Health center - I have heard that they are the best in the area and was super excited to finally get to the bottom of things... That was until I met Dr. Ren.. He was super cool at first - I left my MRI at home (I have memory issues) and he allowed me to go back and get it. With only reviewing an MRI OF MY RIGHT EAR - without doing any of his own testing, or asking about my… symptoms, immediately told me there is no way my symptoms are related and that (and I quote) I should "seek psychiatric help for my problems"... NEVER have I felt so helpless, confused, and not to mention depressed because I still have no answers (it's been over a year since I was diagnosed). I left his office balling my eyes out... I will never go back to him - though I may try a different doctor who is actually familiar with my condition.

I was having bad seizures and was diagnosed with a large meningioma tumor that nobody in Pinellas County would touch but Dr. Ren and his team stepped up and did a front right craniotomy. I'm now 3 months without seizures and you cant even tell by looking at me that I had it done. Thank You Dr. Ren!

Dr Ren took care of my wife when she had a brain tumor. He was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole ordeal. We actually just saw him today for her one year checkup. He is always very caring, explains everything, and gives the very best care. We would, and have, given him the highest possible recommendation.
