Dr. Zoltan Fekete, MD

I saw dr Fekete in the past and he was absolutely out of line with things he said. Then was switched to Gorelov had no issue with him and then when Gorelov left I was again given Dr Fekete I figured I’d give him another chance. He was absolutely rude and didn’t do a thing to help. I will NOT be returning to him for nothing. It’s time Crystal run does something in regards to Fekete between his rudeness and obnoxious wait time is out of control!

Dr. Fakete is obviously an extremely competent neurologist. He was thorough during the exam and even double checked some of the initial results. He has a great personality and explains the procedures and results thoroughly and in understandable terms. We are fortunate to have a doctor of his caliber available to us.

Dr. Fekete has been my Neurologist since moving to the Catskills over 20 years ago. He gives you all the time you need for your visit. This sometimes causes him to run a little late, but he gives all his patients the proper time needed for a proper diagnosis. I've been to many doctors that treat everyone with the same meds. This is not Dr. Fekete's way. He WILL find what is wrong with YOU. No cookie cutter diagnosis from him. Everyone is an individual. He IS...Simply the BEST!

When I was diagnosed with pseudo tumor cerebri around 2005, I knew that my first and only pick for neurologist was Dr. Fekete. I had worked with him when I was a nurse at a local hospital and knew him to be kind, compassionate, and intelligent. He brought me back to the CRHC practice. After being on "the other side" of healthcare, Dr. Fekete proved to be a wonderful practitioner. He remains caring, compassionate, intelligent, and has the best bedside manner. I trust my care to him without reservation. I never have trouble getting an appointment, even if his schedule is running late and I have to wait for my appointment, he is always thorough and attentive. He spends all the time I need to ask my questions and get answers. He is available when needed and I can always reach out to him and get a prompt response. His medical assistant is also wonderful. Professional, kind, and caring. She always keeps you updated if the doctor is running late, making sure you are comfortable and… attended to. She has a lovely bedside manner and is a pleasure to see whenever I am in the office. I have nothing but respect and great things to say about Dr. fekete and his assistant.

i disagree wholeheartedly with the negative remarks made about Dr. Fekete. Yes, at times it was difficult to understand him, but all I had to do was ask him to repeat himself or request that his nurse Isabel come into the room. That is the responsibility of the patient, not the doctor. Insofar as reaching him, all you have to do is have the receptionist give a message to have Isabel call you. To me,he is a very caring and thoughtful doctor and I have recommended him many times. Incidentally, the reason the wait is so long to see him is because he never rushes you when you have a genuine health concern.

The Dr. is WONDERFUL. I am extremely critical of my medical staff and I have found Dr. Fekete to take time out to explain my treatment to me whenever it is needed. It's a shame I can NEVER get his office. Some genius decided it was more efficient to go through operators who have no idea who you are and are not even in Rock Hill.. I spend more time on hold, and arguing the pronunciation of Dr, Fekete's name with the reception staff, and then it takes TWO DAYS to get a prescription. What is up with that?

Dr.Fekete is a great doctor. office staff is not very friendly or professional but HE is incredible

Dr. Fekete has a very thick accent which makes him nearly impossible to understand and adds to his gruff/old world manner. I felt as if I had stepped back 30 years to when other doctors dismissed my headaches as "womanly hysteria." I found, from other doctors, that he had written on my chart-even after discussions about when they occurred and the severity that has led to ER visits, my headaches were "hormonal." This couldn't explain the other 50+ per year. I knew he did not listen or read my chart as he would re-prescribe medications which I had already tried and told him didn't work. I would spend 20 minutes in the waiting room, @ an hour each visit in the exam room waiting, 2 minutes with the doctor, and another 20 wondering whether I was supposed to wait for him to return, find a nurse for my Rxs, or just leave. He is part of a gigantic conglomeration but seems to be the only neurologist to ever have appts., so I gave up and went to a specialist in the city, who immediately… changed all of my medications as they were not safe for diabetics. Within 6 months, my headaches have been reduced to just 3 severe ones. He also rushed me when questioning with hand gestures and faces if I paused to make sure I was giving him a correct or thoughtful area. This is not something you would do with a migraine patient-especially when some of the medication prescribed causes "word searching."

please do not see this doctor and if you must please get a second opinion;your life depends on it. After three hours with him and a cat scan, he not only misdiagnosed me but did not stay to read me my results. He left and had the nurse tell me, obviously the nurse is NOT a neurologist so my questions went unanswered. I sought out a second opinion in the city,where the real doctors are, within twenty minutes he diagnosed me. Doctors in the city will take your insurance you must seek them out, do not stay local because it is convenient or because you are in pain. PLEASE, your life depends on it.
