Dr. Zorik Spektor, MD

The absolute worst doctor and a terrible practice that is incapable of addressing the issue.

This Dr had the worst bedside manner I have ever seen . He definitely should not be in pediatrics. He had absolutely no patience for my 5 year old daughter being a little scared to have a 12 inch scope put in her nose and rudely walked out of the room and said abrasively she needed to be put under anesthesia. After I calmed her down and explained the procedure to her she was willing to do it. He came back in the room with a huge attitude, did the procedure, and was incredibly rude with us sharing the result. I tried to ask a few questions and he kept cutting me off and would not even answer them. I really wanted to walk out to the minute we met him but it takes months to get an appointment and my daughter was suffering . I filed a complaint to the office manager upon leaving . Do yourself a favor and find a different Dr.

Beware! My 3.5 year old bumped his nose on a school desk bouncing. There was no bleeding, just a swollen mid-section of the nose. We went to our primary care, who referred us to Dr.Spektor's practice. Once there, Dr.Spektor walked in, looked at my son's nose and without any kind of examination or absolutely justified and necessary nose X-Ray, in this case told me, that he can tell that my boy's nose is broken and my son needs an urgent surgery, to reset nose bones. I asked him how can he prove it to me, as a parent, that the nose is broken, without even taking an X-Ray? He said, that he is an experienced doctor and does not need any X-Rays to diagnose a broken nose. I asked him again, if he can order an X-Ray to see, if the nose is broken, indeed. Dr. Spektor declined it. I was completely shocked and totally lost to hear such an unprecedented verdict. Being a thinking and responsible father of three I declined any surgical interference and rushed my son to Boca Regional ER, where… we were offered an X-Ray immediately and, as it turned out there was not a single fracture or nose bone dismissal. Next morning I received an urgent call from Dr.Spektor's practice informing me, that my son was scheduled for a nose operation , with a full seduction /sleep anesthesia (very risky procedure for minor children),within a couple of hours that day. I was speechless, but was able to ask the front desk to pass it down to Dr.Spektor if he is interested to look at my son's X-ray on DVD, before suggesting an operation, as there was no nose-bone fractures at all. They never got back to me. Beware!!!! Think twice before scheduling an appointment with this "doctor".

He would make an OK prison doctor. He doesn't know how to talk with people. Due to the fact that your in his office means that your life isn't going so well because you have a sick kid. The last thing you need is a doctor who thinks he's better then you and treats you like an idiot for asking questions. SHAME ON YOU Z. SPEKTOR.

Bad bedside manner. The guy is rude and condescending. I will not be going back to him.

Dr. Spektor could very well use some patience when it comes to kids. He has told my son the same thing about the chair as another review I have read. He did perform a surgery on my child without complication, but i was a little upset that we now need a second surgery when I asked for both problems to be taken care of during the first. I am not too happy with his office, but my son's insurance only cover him and another crappy doctor.

From our very first visit i had a bad taste in my mouth. His bed side manner is terrible. He also speaks down to you and does not let you answer questions. Medical professionals are suppose to ask open ended questions and if you try to explain anything he gets annoyed. He wants yes or no and has no patience with people as he is trying to rush you out so he can make money on the next patient.

Dr. Spektor may be knowledgable and skilled at what he does, but his bedside manner for parents and children leaves much to be desired.

Dr. Spektor is by far one of the most amazing doctors I have ever come across. My 4 year old son actually gets excited to go see him. He is very professional, and is great at explaining complicated things in a way that is understandable to anyone; even the child. I also was very impressed with the time he put in outside of the appointment/surgery. He personally called our house the day after the surgery to see how things were going and to answer any questions. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Spektor to anyone. My son's health has improved dramatically, and I really owe it all to Dr. Spektor.

Me and my wife brought my son to Dr Spektor's office recently, and will never return to him. Once inside the office my 4 year old climbed up on the examination chair. Dr. spektor immediately ordered my son in a very stern voice to get off the chair because is was not a toy. Once Dr spektor did ask my son to get back on the chair so that he can be examined, he immeidiately ordered my son to get off the chair. My wife then responded by saying, "you need to have more patience if your'e a childrens doctor. Ds spektor responded "By the end of the day I have a headache from the children". Me and my wife were so insulted, we stormed out of the office. If you plan to visit Dr. Spektor, I strongly advise to look elsewhere. Tell your friends as well.
