Dr. John-Michael Michael Stewart

Possible COVID Violations and Suspicious Trustworthiness: 1) Dr. Stewart used his BARE HANDS--without washing or sanitizing them in front of me--to hold an unwrapped wooden stick (from who knows where) to (barely) look in my mouth before saying, "Oh yeah, that's gotta come out." Not hygienic at consult = What happens during surgery? 2) Small waiting area with closed door and many people with NO SOCIAL DISTANCING in terms of chair placement or anything else. Suspicious Competence and Quality: 1) No faith Dr. Stewart looked at X-rays because they were available seconds before he entered. 2) Thrust two prescriptions at me now, before even go back for surgery, which seems weird and shady. (Plus ran through them too fast like everything else.) An assembly line or something. Possible HIPAA Violations: 1) Exam door was open and not far from waiting area = People could hear my personal information. 2) I could see other patients' names etc on a large screen close to the exam chair.… Off-Putting Bedside Manner: Dr. Stewart barely introduced himself, just: "So we're doing this today, right?" He hadn't even examined me. When I said something like not quite ready, he replied a couple times: "Hey, it's better for ME if we don't." Felt cavalier and casual (uncaring). My first time there, but he took no care to set up a new doctor-patient relationship or inform me in an unrushed way. I felt very pressured. Unprofessional Operations: 1) No one said, upon scheduling, that same-day surgery might happen. 2) Not taken from waiting area until an HOUR after appointment time. I had to ask about, and there was no comment on it. (See aforementioned waiting-area conditions!) Overall: Unpleasant. Didn't inspire confidence. Not the web site's impression. P.S. No one ever answers the phone. It's just an auto-lady: " ... try back later."

I did not have a good experience with my wisdom teeth extraction. I feel like Dr. Stewart was a bit rough with my procedure. I'm sure he is use to working on patients that are knocked out most of the time, and I did not pay for anesthesia.

I was nervous about getting wisdom teeth extracted along with a dental implant placed, but Dr. Stewart was informative, kind, answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. I had a wonderful experience.
