Dr. Katelin Marie Zahn

Dr. Katelin Zahn dismissed my medical concerns as anxiety. A second physician ordered an MRI, which revealed a tumor pressing against my brain stem, a serious medical issue requiring hospitalization and complex neurosurgery. Because Dr. Zahn wasn’t responding to my messages, I sought care from another OB-GYN. The new doctor reviewed the list of symptoms Dr. Zahn had documented and immediately identified five as likely being directly related to the tumor. The new OB-GYN also ordered a mammogram, which revealed a need for further imaging—something that should have been done during my first appointment with Dr. Zahn as a matter of routine care. In addition, two of my regular prescriptions were called in late, leaving me without medication for over five days. Dr. Zahn also cost me hundreds of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses by not prescribing the medication allowed by my insurance. Repeated messages to her office went unanswered. My new OB-GYN made this change in under a minute with… the exact same information Dr. Zahn had. Your wellbeing depends on doctors who listen to your concerns, respond to your questions, and ensure routine lifesaving care is not overlooked. Many people are navigating anxiety these days—that doesn’t mean we don’t also have legitimate medical issues. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Dr. Zahn.
