Melissa Soderquist, MD

Melissa C. Soderquist is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon. She specializes in orthopedic trauma surgery. Her clinical interests include periarticular fractures, polytraumatized patients, pelvic and acetabular trauma, as well as complex revision arthroplasty and primary hip and knee arthroplasty. Dr. Soderquist earned her Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from University of Florida. She then earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident. She then completed her fellowship training in orthopedic trauma surgery at University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She then completed additional training in primary hip and knee arthroplasty and complex revision arthroplasty at Baptist Health South Florida in Miami, FL. She has been inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Soderquist …is actively involved in clinical research and has published works in peer reviewed journals. She has presented her work at national and international symposiums. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and traveling.
